food vendor

There are a few of these enterprising guys and gals paddling their little boats around selling food. It's a great way to try some local cuisine and the food is tasty! There are some tables set up to accomodate you too. The food is very inexpensive.

Food Vendor

You can really enjoy the foods from the boat vendors! If you don't speak any Thai just point to the ingredients that you want and they will whip it up for you!! Very Inexpensive! The people are very friendly. Just try to speak a little Thai and that will break the ice! Everyone will be laughing but it's all fun!

The Wooden Paddle boat sellers at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Canal sells a lot of things. but for an authentic thai food experience in a rural setting, why not order you food among the many food vendors on boats that sell these wonderful food and there are many food and fresh fruits and desserts to choose from! the prices of these local foods is not inflated unlike the goods like handicrafts or silk bags that they sell. these thai foods are then put into plastic containers or stryofoam boxes and you are given a plastic spoon and fork and you can eat them right away from your boat while traversing the canal or just hold it and eat it at the many tables and chairs at the food court in the Floating Market proper.

Favorite Dish: they sell an assortment of local thai food like pad thai, nam prik, phat sieu, tom kha gai, tom yung nam, mango with sticky rice and more.
