Our Place is a small bar.
The special on the Bar is the owner.
Miss Nang is a very good woman.
However, what is your problem, you can go to her and open your heart.
If she can she help you. You can get some tipps from her or sche know, where you can find a cheap and good room.

This is one of many bars along the road that goes from the Allied War Cemetery to the Bridge over the River Kwai. It has the slogan "Get sh*t faced on a shoe string" painted high-up on the outside so as to entice the large number of backpackers that come here. I came here to eat one evening and had a very good Thai green chicken curry which I recommend plus, of course, a beer! There are more "hostess" bars along the bend of the road near the cemetery.

This place looked inviting from the outside. The drinks are cheap, large Chang for 40B. But when I went to the toilet there was a dead cockroach on the floor (yes I know that they are around in Thailand) and then as I went to wash my hands there was a dead gecko in the sink next to me. It looked as if it had been there a while and the sink looked like it was used for kitchen waste. As I came out they put on a karaoke video on.
We soon left.

Although it's called a Blues Bar, not much Blues was played. Occasionally, the Smiths etc Relaxed, chilled and friendly. Play pool for free. Drinks reasonably priced. But you have to check out the walls in the bar and in the toilets. Can you name everyone? Give you a start-Dundley Moore and Peter Cook.
Appears to be closed at the moment. Lights are on each night, but the shutters never open. Trying to find out more.

They say here that you can get ***-faced on a shoestring. No, you can't.
Whilst it is a pleasant bar with large screen TV and pool table, a small beer will cost you 50B. Not really for the shoestring budget.

Fancy selecting your own tunes? Jungle Bar has a very long list of songs to choose from. Reasonable price for drinks. Mr B runs the bar (he doesn't own it), friendly guy. Part of the seating is right next to the pavement, good place to watch people. If you are hungry, you can get a plate of curry and rice for 20B from a place a couple of doors down. Mr B will go and ask for your order. Look for the amusing signs on the wall.

There ar heaps of bars in Kanchaburi on a stretch of road that is hidden away between the main street and a river. They are parallel to the main street about three of four streets in. Very quirky and interesting place.
The bars are mostly outdoors, and some have DJ's. The beer is very cheap, their are local's and tourists as well as some very interesting singing competitions etc.
Dress Code: Definately casual!

A new funky little bar which is so different than anything else Kanchaburi has.
Modern black and white decor with some photos and drawings of Kanchanaburi on the walls makes this little bar really stand out.The english/thai couple who opened this place are so helpful when it comes to local info and even took us up to Erawan for a day out with them.
Its located on the main tourist street-i think soi prapa? opposite a buffet restaurant place. They show football and really vary the music so you never get bored!!If tyhe owners like you , you can even stay for a *late* drink which can be a bit hard to find in this little town!!!!!!Well recommended and will sure go back there next time.

Great!!! Set by the river, it really has a good atmosphere! Great food too, it would be better if u can understand thai, coz the thai menu is more extensive than the english menu, heh heh. CHeck out the great humongous prawns! Relatively cheap too! 190 Baht for 7 humongous pieces. And great with beer to go along with too!
