Fashionistas Beach Boutique: Funky Fashion for ladies in Koh Chang
The very best shop I found on the entire island. Stunning jewelry, funky beach wear and fashion with a boho feel to "designer style for a night out" chic. What a find, I loved that shop. Very, very different to all the clothes stalls who all sell the typical tourist crap. That shop is a gem, they have a lot of hand made sandals, fashion and silver jewelry and the owner also sells her own collection of silk and sheer organza cover ups which are just great for the beaches. The friendly and very good English speaking sales lady told me that the owner travels a lot to keep her collection that unique and that she even designs many items her self and other things are imports from Bali, India and only few very unique hand picked items come from Thailand... The one of a kind line of swimwear comes from Italy, the USA and from as far as Brazil. You will not find any item more than once per color & size. While most pieces are a REAL (not Asian) size M they do have also a few items in size L and XL, and size S is available too. Fashion addicts or those who just have forgotten to bring a Bikini from home, definitely go there, you' ll love what you will find in that beautiful shop. Prices are as stunning as the fashion is, when I have been there, there was a huge rack full with discounted items, such as beach caftans, bikinis, shirts, dresses for just 250 Baht. The most expensive what I found was a pair of awesome, made from very soft genuin e suede leather, and fringed gladiator style sandals, which had a price tag stating them to cost 2000 Baht (unfortunately not my size). A great shopping experience not to be missed. The location is in Kai Bae almost opposite of the 2 baby elephants and the Internet cafe. Coming from Lonely Beach where I stayed, turn left into the beach road before the first Kai Bae' s 7/11 store, Fashionistas is the 3rd building, passing a small Pizzeria and a massage place also on the right
What to buy: The are lots of shops but all selling the same, seen one - seen all! At Fashionistas you' ll find unique things, jewelry, bikinis and bathing suits, cover ups, maxi and mini dresses, leather sandals, bags, some yoga wear...and much more.
Around the corner there are also some shops where Thai handicrafts are on offer.
What to pay: From 250 Baht to 2000 Baht

The Dive Adventure Koh Chang Ltd.: Good snorkelling and diving equipment
At the southern tip of Koh Chang there is a small town built up on stilts around the pier that serves the neigbouring islands. On the land side part of town along the main road to the pier there is a very good dive shop where you can get real good qaulity things for snorkelling, beach bumming, diving etc.
What to buy: I bought snorkel, mask and fins, imported goods, but the price was ok.

The Road along Bailan Beach: Durian Season
What to buy: When you are on Koh Chang around April or May, you might be lucky to find cheap durians at the roadside shops. They grow them in their own gardens, and sell them for very little money. We could buy one for only 40 baht. The result was that we ate durian everyday for a week!
