Shop around asking at different resorts when booking trips like snorkelling, cambodia, scuba, jungle treks elephant rides. When snorkelling we were offered the same trip with the same boat from 500 baht to 1000 baht at different resorts. Also may be extra costs like paying for flippers or other equipment rental.

Like any other low key, down to earth places on this planet....
Vehicle / motorcylce/bike rentals can proove to be a good tourist trap. The renters will often make you feel very accommodated and welcomed during the intial phases of the rental. but to be in serious dilemma upon finding damages to the rented commodities upon returning. Or finding clauses in the contracts that were never mentioned when signing the agreement of rental.
So please be patient and read the lines carefully.
Unique Suggestions: If you are unsure of the rental terms, please discuss the agreements with the renter and negotiate all prices until you are fully aware of your rights / liabilities.
CHECK THAT VEHICLE before you sign anything. Notify the renter of all previous damages, even the smallest dings!
Fun Alternatives: If a few dollars is no concern to you to pay for any damages they may claim against you...go for it.
Last resort....walk it.
