Every November, a wealthy businessman in Lopburi holds a dinner for the monkeys of the town, complete with long tables and carved fruit - lots of fruit, and lots of other food. The monkeys of course go to town on this and gorge themselves. It becomes a media circus and photojournalists from around the world are there to get that money shot - a monkey drinking out of a can of Coke. Keep an eye on your local paper around the end of November and you might see a picture from this festival in Lopburi, Thailand, showing a monkey stuffing his/her face.
The same businessman has large concrete monkey images placed around the town of Lopburi.
The 'toh jin ling' occurs downtown - can't miss it. Ask TAT for dates.

Pra Narai festival in Lopburi town
A non-tacky Thai festival with a magical ambience, esp in the evenings. The whole town seems to get into it by dressing up and strolling about the palace at night.
Granted, much of what is celebrated as Thai culture was started by a Thai field marshall in the '30s, But hey, the US has Disneyland, so why not just enjoy this.
Attracts Thais from Bangkok as well. All dressed up and strutting their stuff. Bring a camera, the clothing is brilliant.
Not great every year (some years the parade is lame), but still worth the trip. It was the best Thai festival i have attended (and i've been to a few), and i went 6 times.
English guides will show you around. They are actually students for the local Rajabhat Institute brushing up their marginal English.

	Sao Thong Tong temple

This temple was built on the area of Persian and others European Ambassadors's houses in King Narai of Ayudhaya kingdom. As some building still found and still have others language 's name . And some said viharn once was a church or maybe mosque.

- Chedi
