Don't give monkey a chance to bite you, you can get some serious disease (including hepatitis, rabies...). Though I had wooden stick with me when going around the temples, they weren't afraid and climbed up my stick and they lighty bite me sometimes. On must imagine they would bite much harder if they're really pissed off!

Try to stay in the shadow whenever it's possible, wear your hat and drink a lot of water!

Invasion of the monkeys! by XLH Because of the huge numbers of them, the monkeys can be quite intimidating at times. For instance, my girlfriend's take-away packet of drink was snatched by one while we were on our way through the city centre. At night, it might seem like they all went to sleep as you would have problems seeing then in the dark, but they are ALL still around and waiting for the chance to pounce on you!! Of course, the tourists and locals continuously feeding them in the day doesn't help. Leave a Comment

by js77 You will receive long bamboo stick when entering Prang Sam Yot and San Phra Kan - the ruins besieged by monkeys. So, it's not that dangerous in these ruins as it might seem. Just keep them in your sight.
