kinds of vagetable fried, fresh fried shrimp cakes

Since you get in Ko Kret, after you walk pass Wat Poramai Yikawat Temple, along walkway, there is a lot food stalls and at the end near the white pagoda is the open area to sit. They sell many kind of Thai food, good view of the river but i recommend to keep walking if u just get in the islet, There's a lot better real Mon Food along the further in the islet and you can sit right beside the river..

Favorite Dish: Thai food, local food there such as many kinds of vagetable fried, fresh fried shrimp cakes etc.

Khao Chae, Ko Kret

Khao Chae is a famous Mon Food which I think you shouldn’t miss to try when you visit Ko Kret. There are many local shops (family-run shop) and some shop the area just right beside the river. The restaurant I visited name Lung Dang Khao Chae which beside the walkway in the area close to Mon Cultural Center but they have the open area back of the house which we sat there.. such a great view of the river... Khao Chae is a jasmine scented rice in ice water eaten in combination with delicate savory treats, it is really good to eat in hot weather. Hmm very delicious.

Favorite Dish: Khao Chae

Kaen Chan Restaurant in Ko Kret

Most of the menu are local food, Mon food. I saw it was very popular at lunch even it is a small restaurant. It looks like family run the business. Friendly service, delicious food, the atmosphere like a local wooden house, nice!!

Inside Thung Prig Thung Khing Restaurant

Thung Prig Thung Khing in Thai meaning will be "very hot and spicy". The special menu all are Thai spicy food, great view of street scene in front, great atmosphere, nice decore with mainly wood mix country style, live music in the evening. Near by is shopping mall. Good place to enjoy with friends, also romantic with special one . Worth to try !

Favorite Dish: All ! They are hot and spicy !
