i was a bit dissapointed in the show, maybe it is because we saw the last show of the day (at 9.30PM) and the 'girls' where doing their act without any enthousiasm. I am glad i saw the show because the clothes are amazing and the 'girls' really look more than great.
Before I visited the Alcazar Cabaret show, the guide informed me that the performers in the show are not girls though they look like beautiful girls (with male voice). They are the lady boys of Pattaya.
Outside the Alcazar theater, there were more than 2 dozen very beautifully dressed ladies posing for photos with the visitors. They were taking 40 Baht (= 4.5 AED) or more for standing in these photos. Though I didn't take a photo with them, I noticed that they were very rude in handling people. I was surprised to know that they were not ladies, but men. Oh Sorry, the lady boys. They all looked so colorful in their stunning costumes and were calling all the people standing around them for taking photos. Along with them, there were men to control the crowd.
And then we got into the theater to watch the live performance. There were many well choreographed dances and the stage changes between each performance was so quick and amazing. They even dances to the Indian, Chinese. Arabic and Japanese tunes. All were preformed by Lady-boys with stunning figures of a girl. In a few of the performances, they were showing princess, and it was tough to believe that, that princess was not a lady. There was also humour in it performed by a fatty lady-boy. She (he? I'm confused. I may say he or she) was making everyone laugh by her figure and gestures. And then she even came to the audience and made humour after making two men touch and rub her big breasts. I was feeling a little shy then, but could not control laughter. At the end of the show, a lady boy performed as both the genders - i.e. half of him was dressed as man and the other as a lady.
Dress Code: Casuals
Ofcourse it is worth paying a visit to the famous Alcazar Cabaret, once in Paris the hot-hotter-hottest night-show. Actually I was surpised to see this Paris show at Pattaya is so often visited by a lot of Chinese. For the show has some good Chinese items.
For Europeans the show indeed is not that good, and the choreographics are really bad. Though the beauty of some of the performing kathoeys is stunning, extraordinary, amazing and superbe, so ...
come to the cabaret of A L C A Z A R !!!
Dress Code: Maybe in former times there used to be a special dress code... for now just sneak in with your ticket...
Simply breathtaking show and it is trully a colourful extravaganza with backdrop of Thai culture.
The lavish sets, theme and shimmering dresses bring the stage alive. The comical muses and lovely ladies (or should I call them boys !!!) make the show a "must see". Though this show is not at par with European choreography, it definately brings you close to Thailand.
Dress Code: Simply no dress code.....wear whatever suits you....but would suggest to carry a light jacket inside since it is slightly cold inside the auditorium.
Watch the famous Alcazar show at Pattaya
You must watch the exciting & colourful Alcazar show when you are in Pattaya. This musical and comedy show is presented by transvestites which are very famous in Pattaya. This is a decent performance so don't expect any nudity.
Dress Code: Semi-formal is preferred.
