Have a walk around Walking Street at night, it is very busy with tourists. I did'nt particular see it unsafe and is something not to be missed. There are a few very nice restaurants with views to the bay.
Anybody who has been to or researched Pattaya will know about "Walking street".Here without going in to great detail, there is something for everybody,as the title says"Disneyland for adults"is very apt.
Great place to people watch in Walking Street.
Stoney is an Aussie but despite that is a great guy, and usually in attendance.
They have the obligatory TV for Sports events, music that still lets you have a conversation without shouting.
Staff are attentive and welcome you with a really nice cold towel and are happy to leave you alone for as long as you want to sit there.
Best of all, they sell Strongbow ( 120 Baht per bottle )

Usual for Pattaya, anything goes.
I'm sure everyone has heard about walking street in one way or another. To me it's not as bad as some people say and definitely worth a visit when in pattaya. There is a lot of girly bars here but there also some great places for a drink, shopping and of course to eat. A great area to sit in a bar with a cold beer and do some people watching, when you get hungry you can just dive into one of the many seafood restaurants here. This street is open to traffice by day but closes around 7-7.30pm and is then only to pedestrians.

No dresscode as such, just wear whatever you're comfortable in.
I have been to the Lucifer in Bangkok and it has seen better days but Lucifer Pattaya parties on.The big Pattaya cave was packed around 11 pm the night I went however the service was surprisingly fast. A live American funk rap band had most people especially all the girl boppin'.This place is in Walking Street so most of the girls "looked" like they work nearby. This is a fun place to work up a sweat dancing ,flirting or just listening to popular tunes in the front bar.
Well, a visit to Pattaya isn't complete without a night out on Walking Street.
It's a very lively place and the street is closed to vehicle traffic at night, so people are free to roam in safety. Just note that it's no ordinary nightspot. It has a mixture of restaurants, nightclubs, bars and many go-go bars. The go-go bars have many women offering their services to any man willing to part with their cash for some horizontal fun for the night. I must say, many women in those places are quite pretty. Even if you go as a couple (which many people do), go into a go-go just to check it out. There are many girls in skimpy outfits dancing on stages to get guys' attention. They are very clean places and you can just relax, drink away and not get disturbed if you don't want to.
I did notice there are other non-standard bars where it seemed to be an overwhelming number of women enjoying themselves, but I must add they are available if you're willing to pay.
I went to a nightclub which did not even close when we left at 6am! There was another club we went to where everything was white... beautful place, but I cannot remember the name? Cool place to go though. ;)
Anyway, Walking Street is an extreme mix. In some ways, it felt like being in a large brothel or something where you don't know immediately which girls are working-girls and which are not?
Oh, I did get approached by some extremely beautiful people, or shall I say "lady-boys", but it didn't feel right and if it doesn't, you're probably right. Just keep walking. There are many around, so if you're not into that type of thing, then just keep walking for your own sanity!
I would not recommend families take their children there after dark.
Dress Code:
Anything unless you go to certain nice nightclubs, then wear something decent.
Going for a walk in the Walking Street? Ah,... in that case, don't mind the Go-Go spots glowing red, and thunderous basslines call night owls to happy hour at a menagerie of dance clubs, strip pubs and go-go bars. A bunch of girls, ladies and girl-like boys invite you for a nice time and some romance ... still there is a lot to see ... in a romantic way, too.
Romance? Well, some Western tourists come to the fame of Pattaya's butterflies, who try to catch the generosity of the Westerns. And listen to the stories after when they try to make impressions about their Butterflie Catch ... isn't that romance?

This is holiday, this is about street activities until late at night. Where the whole family goes out ...
Walking Street is quite similar to Bangla Street in Phuket. Be assured that there will be many people crowding the streets, especially the "working girls" who call you to go into their bars to spend lots of Bahts on drinks & them. There is an area I went to with plenty of bars under one roof where you can watch staged kick boxing matches. The street is closed between 7pm and midnight so you can survey the area slowly, watch people and try out some local food. Have an open mind when you come here because some of the activities may stun you, especially for someone like me.
well if u can imagine as a disneyland for men u wud be correct. sure once a man (we are 22 so not their cliche market targets but nonetheless ....) u leave ur hotel and minute u step outside day or night to the hot, noisy, (slightly smelly from open sewers) pattaya, u are greeted for hollering and screaming girls who are bidding for ur attention, i think the city has 250,000 of such. walking strret is the main area for strip bars, go go bars, clubs though everywhere has these here, its a 24hr spot where u see guys 18-80 with women about 16-mid 20s in tiny dresses and bars full of eager women offering themselves to you for night or 24 for about 1000B (20 euro) if its your cup of tea. not for guys who are committed to their gf's or wives as we found out !!
Pattaya is flooded with Ah go go bars, pubs and discos. The whole place lights up at night with neon and music booming all around. There are loads of streets and alley with high concentration of night life and the famous one being Walking Street. Good place to have a good night out.
