**UPDATE** January 2011. A friend and I went to PIC Kitchen last night and decided not to stay for a meal. The air conditioned area was closed and there were not many other customers in the outer area. Definitely not as busy as it used to be and it had an air of a place that is suffering from lack of customers. Of course the food maybe as good as it used to be, but we decided not to try.
In a quite Soi at the north end of the bay this is one of the oldest restaurants town serving good quality Thai food in air conditioned rooms, or outside if you want. They also have one room where you can sit on the floor in traditional Thai Style – I prefer tables and chairs. There is also the Jazz Club which is in a separate building within the grounds. In keeping with the other buildings the club is built almost entirely of wood in traditional Thai style and a very nice place to relax after a fine meal. There is live music every night, the line up depends on who is in town.
Favorite Dish: The spicy beef salad, satay and the Thai curries. Good quality ingredients and authentic recipes.
