The Royal Garden Plaza is a four storey shopping mall located between Beach Road and Second Road. The main shops include FCUK, Adidas, Benetton, Boots, Clarks, Guess, Lee, Levi's, Nike and Timberland. The main reason for coming here is the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and theatre which takes up a large area on the second floor. There are also several fast food chains such as Burger King, Coffee World, Haagen Dazs, KFC, McDonald's and Starbucks that face the beach plus there's a couple of Japanese food restaurants on the third floor. I came here to have a nose around a couple of good bookshops and it's nice to come in from the heat outside and cool down with the air-con.

Shopping in Pattaya is a must, for locals as well for tourists. Ofcourse during shopping temptation is big and the mall is one of the places to hit your upmost greedy feelings. The malls look all the same, but there is some difference. The AC Royal Garden Plaza is one of the most popular malls, even some prefer the AC Mike Shopping Mall. But what are we talking about when prices are that low and still bargains, discounts and "on sale" are on every day! Do not feel ashamed going for that on a mall jump... even it got hit by an airplane (the airplane is because of the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum on top floor of Royal Garden Plaza, with oddities Ă¡ la Disney).
What to buy: Both Royal Garden Plaza and the other malls I liked to jump in. Especially for the men's clothes area. It's great to see some designs here right next to bad junk, and other fakes. So you do have to keep your eyes open concerning quality. Back home you'll find out what is real quality! Whenever your stuff has passed control and, you didn't get caught, 'cause it still is illegal to import the fakes! Keep smiling ... you learnt that in Thailand, for sure!
What to pay: A Guy Laroche swimming-trunks for 730 Baht and a Speedo one for 650 Baht...

Located between Beach Road and 2nd Road this Large department store is unremarkable apart from the advertising for Ripley's Believe It Or Not, which is located on the top floor.
What to buy: Copies of designer clothing.
DVD movies and CD's were 100 Baht upwards and I bought about 20 and only 1 was no good when I got home.
The watches were not on the street stalls this year so I guess maybe there's been a crack-down.
You can still buy them, they're just locked away haha.
What to pay: DVD's from 150 Baht
CD's 100 Baht

The Mall is part of the JW MARRIOTT group that operates the JW MARRIOT chain of hotels.
This mall hosts 2 small theatres, a big game arcade (top floor) with entertainment arenas of 'ripley's believe it or not', laser shooting maze, etc....
The mall also contains a large food court with other international private restuarants:...and fast food rest. as well: sizzlers, mcdonald's, au bon pain.
Shopping is not bad at all here, one will find practically all that one would find in an international standard mall...adidas, nike, nautica, boots pharmacy, etc...
What to buy: all the things that you may not be able to get out on the streets.
international brands...sometimes they have nig sales and private merchants such as thai handicraft, silks, etc are displayed in the galley.
What to pay: for all international brands, expect to pay what one would pay in BKK...
look out for the 'on sales'...great bargains.

Royal Garden Plaza is one of the busiest shopping complex in Pattaya. A great place to escape the sun, grab lunch at their food court at the top floor or to have a cup of coffee.

I think this shopping mall was better than Mike Mall but I didn't really liked this one either. The shops weren't for my style and idea of good shopping.
