Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is a beautiful garden with waterfalls, plants, cultural and elephant shows, "Cultural Extravaganza" performance happens 4 times a day which shows a brief glimpse of Thai history, the king's era and war. There are restaurants around for the refreshments. The Elephant show was excellent starting with the entry in descending order of their size which each one grabbing the follower's tail by it's tusk. Elephants did dancing, standing, playing football and basketball. Some people would sell bananas to feed the tuskers but we observed those bananas are highly recycled. Overall a nice afternoon entertainment for us
Admission Fee: Foreigners 400 THB, Thais 200 THB

The gardens are around 20 minutes via car from the centre of Pattaya, and they are well worth a visit. There are small buses which take you around the gardens stopping at the variuos places of interest so that you can take your photos. There is also a show involving elephants. The gardens are really nice and they should certainly not be missed when visiting Pattaya. Have a look at the photos.

Your visit to Pattaya is not complete without a day trip to the sprawling Nong Nooch Tropical garden, just 20 minutes away from the city. The 500 acre park with Thai style houses, orchids and cactus gardens and a picturesque lake was developed by a rich lady of taste, and now being run by his son. Nong Nooch stands for beauty, and that is what oozes out of every part of the park. The plants and the surroundings are very well maintained, but you do not get to see a single gardener at work.
The park comes alive with cultural and elephant shows. The traditional dancers in their dazzling silk attires dance to the most melodious of songs and keep the guests enraptured. Few rounds of Thai boxing and elephant warfare add variety to the show. Elephant show follows, in an open field and the well trained animals keep you entertained with their skills in basket ball, bowling, soccer, dart shooting. Even there is foot massage for the brave few who volunteer to lie under the playful jumbos. Did you enjoy the show? Then buy bananas at Baht 20 to feed the insistent animal.
Entry fee to the park Baht 300.
