You can rent a boat for a cruise around pattaya including North Pattaya, Na Klua and Jomtien beaches and have the option to go to Coral Island (Koh Larn) since the island is still unspoilt and lacks commercial facilities or just or go snorkelling or scuba diving as Pattaya has some scuba diving sights. If renting a boat, you can choose the size (remember were renting wooden motorized boats for cruising, not speedboats ok!) and you can rent for half day or whole day. rated vary but usually costs about 1500 baht half day and 2,500 baht for the whole day (if you are 10 or more, it will only cost 150 to 250 baht per person). The sands of pattaya can be described as golden and rough (much like waikiki beach in hawaii), white sand can be found in Koh Larn Island (coral island) about 10 kilometers away or 1 hour boat ride but the island is lacking in facilities (but it has white albeit rough sand and not powdery sugar variety). Most sections of the beach in pattaya are covered by rented deckchairs run by local beverage vendors during daylight hours (they charge 400 baht!) so finding an available spot of sand is rather difficult and also unadvisable due to the poor condition (dog feces, trash, etc.) of the beach. Visitors are advised to avoid the beach after dark. Although the Beach Road itself is busy and brightly lit, some criminal elements find the unlit beach useful as a cover for their activities. The local police have started to target this area in various ongoing clampdowns. Thailand has some of the world's most beautiful beaches, Pattaya's is not amongst them. Despite recent efforts to improve the beach,it remains in a sorry state. At high tide the beach is, in places, less than a meter deep plus the sand is a rough and golden (not white like phuket). Pattaya Beach is situated along the central city in close proximity to shopping, hotels and bars. The over-abundance of jet-skis and speedboats has contributed to the pollution of the water along Pattaya Beach, as has the sewage outlet at the end of the pier. The section of beach from Central Road (Pattaya Klang) south to the harbor is adjacent to the core of Pattaya's abundant nightlife area, hence it is less family-oriented than the North Pattaya, Na Klua and Jomtien beaches. pattaya by Wann Where you can relax on beach chair, see various activities on the beach but can be crowded or very crowded sometimes such as weekend, a little bit annoy from vendor(but good to have some people say hello to you from time to time). Both Pattaya beach and Jomtien beach are quite the same offering; beach chair, meal, beach vendors but to me Jomtien beach where a bit further out from Central Pattaya is more peaceful especially on weekday. Pattaya Beach by filipdebont If you stay in a beach-resort, it is normal if you go to the beach. I do not like to lie in the sun for hours. I do prefer to sit in the shade and enjoy a cold drink, eat some of the fresh fruits the beach vendors sell. I also like to swim in the sea, however, I believe Pattaya beach is not the best place to do this, as the water is very polluted by the many boats, and there is also the danger of the very fast jetski's who race along the shore (sometimes). There for it is better to Jomtein Beach. Leave a Comment Address: along Beach Road

The great thing about Pattaya is that it has a very long beach, and most accomodations in the city would be farely close if not extremely close to the beach. If you'd like to hire a deckchair, which I do recommend, it costs 30 baht. You may also get a massage on the beach! Sometimes it can get annoying that every few minutes, sometimes come around to sell you something, but the Thais are not pushy. They will happily keep walking by, but sometimes, it's nice to buy some of their fresh fruit whilst you relax on the beach without having to get up! So, I do recommend that! You may also do some water-skiing, paragliding, hire a jetski, etc, all from Pattaya Beach. Leave a Comment

Pattaya Beach One of the most famous beaches in Thailand but not the most great. Most famous because located in Pattaya, because have a lot of water sports, because have a lot of people.......and... If u like to swim in more clear beach you have to choise another one. From Pattaya pier there are some speed boads for one day trip opposite in the small islands like Ko Lan that you find clear beaches. Parasailing over Jomtien Beach by kamichan In Thailand, where everyone is out for your dollar, euro, etc, they earnestly try to sell you things you don't need. I was constantly warned of the dangers and inconviniences of traveling from Bangkok to Pattaya by myself. Getting there was the easiest and most comfortable thing. From Bangkok, ask for a bus to Ekkamai (East Bus Terminal) and the first window was for direct, air-con buses to Pattaya for about 300Baht. Nothing hard or dangerous about it at all. I was told by locals that Pattaya Beach tended to be a bit dirtier and had some non-family-friendly activies (prositution is very rampant unfortunately) and was advised to head to Jomtien Beach. Jomtien was better kept and offered more water sports (I went para-sailing and jumped on the banana-boat). Plenty of vendors, honestly way too many though. You can't sit down without someone trying to sell you something. You'll get charged for using the beach chairs, for using bathrooms, drinking water fountains, etc. Stand up for yourself when you know you're being taken advantage of and most of all, be polite! Awesome tip: Head to Joe's Market at Pattaya. Wonderful air-con souvenir mini-mall. Many things to barter for and strangely enough, you weren't followed around or harrassed to buy something like the street vendors outside! Directions: From the air-con bus terminal, grab the little red buses to either Pattaya shore-line or Jomtien. Ask for Joe's Market too; plenty of maps at the station.

food-market-pattaya-thailand by RoyJava Ofcourse you'll go on holiday in Pattaya for the sun and beach (... will you ???). Best time to visit Thailand is between November and February. Alas! when you choosed to go in August. We did this time, because of spending time with my brother in Macau, Hongkong and China, too. So on a rainy day you may visit the Thai Market Place. It is really great to watch the Thais doing their shoppings. And ofcourse to shop for yourself, wow, that really is something different from the malls! But the special thing is to watch the food area. These stalls sell all kind of delicious food, and the price is a joke. But watch it! You could be wrong in choosing a meal. I got a little annoyed by watching all these huge pans with food in that Pattaya heat! So happy my brother really knew what to eat and what not! The dishes are similar to the Indonesian ones, so my hunger grew every minute ... I enjoyed the dishes I had! You can go by mini-bus (5 TBT) or take a 10 minutes walk via South Pattaya Road ... by SLLiew There are two major beaches. Right downtown is the Pattaya Beach on Pattaya Bay. This is the busier beach with a lot of tourists sunbathing, getting a massage, jet ski, para sailing or going on an island boating trip. Jontiem also has its share of high rise hotels and chalet accommodation. There are many places along the beach for families to enjoy eating and watching sunset. Just make sure you have enough sunblock protection to avoid getting too much sun.
