Pattaya Taxi service is the easiest, cheapest car to Pattaya that I have found. It is easy to arrange, just send an email from their web page giving your name, arrival time and flight number. They take care of the rest.
On the last trip, I used their service. I sent the required email and got a reply the next morning. When I arrived at 11:00 PM, someone was waiting, holding a sign with my name on it at exit 3 in the arrival area at Bangkok airport. He helped with my bags, and I followed him to the parking garage. His car was new, clean and comfortable. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to my hotel at the south end of Pattaya.
The best part was no hassle! He picked me up and took me the fastest way to Pattaya. There was no asking for more money, no fight over the route, no "you pay toll", no problems at all. He also offered to stop for food or rest room. The price was 1000 baht and not a baht more. I gave the driver a tip, but I was not asked for one.
In April 2008, the price for one way limo (Toyota Camry) from the official AOT airport to Pattaya was Bht 2200. Back then there were a few touts who would approach you for transport. I was offered a more comfortable yet older Volvo 940 from a competing tourist transport operator for about Bht 1600. At August 2008, they have rid the airport of these private operators, creating a virtual monopoly in the "official" limo business, the same limo now costs Bht 3000. All previous reports about the limo costing only Bht 1000 etc is no longer valid and has not been valid for a long time. Taxis from Pattaya to Airport are advertised at Bht 800, your hotel should be able to arrange a private limo (Camry) for about Bht 1500. You would be able to hail a cab from the airport for about Bht 1000, maybe plus tolls (not exceeding Bht 200). Google "Pattaya Taxi" and you will find a lot of private limo operators who will only charge a fraction of the price (typically Bht 1200) for the same service/car. I would leave it up to you to decide if the AOT limo of Bht 3000 is good value. Personally, I would google and use an alternate operator who would meet you at the airport for much less.
Id like to recommend a taxi service in Pattaya.
Theres a guy called Mark who lives in Pattaya who does runs to/from the airport for only 1200 baht inc tolls.
Met him outside a shop he owns on Soi 13/2.
He told me he also is available for a daily fee plus fuel as your private driver.
He has a brand new Toyota pick up truck which can take 4 passengers and luggage-great service and reliable.Saves problem with local taxis demanding more cos you are a farang!!!!
His number in Thailand is 00 66 (0) 831 131 350 and he gave me a card and his email on it is -firstname.lastname@example.org.
So then you have landed in Bangkok after a long flight, then it is time to look for a taxi.
One possibility is Limousine service of Thai.
The price to Pattaya was 1500 Baht.
And all there cars are very new, so you get a good ride for your price.
Just be careful with the tollways, sometimes it is already included and the driver is asking you again for money to pay the tollway.
You can find almost everything from taxi meters, limousines, small minibuses, taxi services, VIPs transport, from and to Pattaya starting from 800 baht
