There are some stalls and shops selling home-made sweets, cakes and savoury snacks along the main Phetkasem Road that goes to the north of Khao Wang hill. One of the local dishes is an egg custard dessert called khanom maw kaeng.

Thai sweetmeat have 4 main ingredients , flour ,coconut ,sugar and egg. Phetchaburi ?s sugar is so famous in Thailand,esp.in its taste.And also this area is so easy to find all dessert ingredients. Maybe ,it?s the beginning of old Thai sweetmeat there.
If you have a chance to shopping Thai sweetmeat there. The most famous one is Khanom Mor Kaeng , it ?s always in a square box with a brown clour . It made from coconut cream , egg,sugar water and taro. Some poppular Mor Kaeng makers and thier shop always in the same name such as Mae La Mied, Mae Patin and Mae Samlee.
Others interesting and tasty sweetmeat ?re rice flour crispy,dried fruite boiled in sirup,fruite jams,Thai caramels,??.

Where to find sweetmeat:
-The souvenir market on the Khao Wang foothill and along the roadside of Phetchaburi.
-Some souvenir shops in petrol station.
