Many buildings are made of wood and the main hall is quite unique: without windows and with some old mural paintings.
I really liked this place, especially its fascinating and relaxing atmosphere. The monks have been very kind with me and I was allowed to spend most of the day with them, even during "private" prayers and lectures. Leave a Comment

This 92 mt high hill can be reached by walking from central Phetchaburi, or you may take a cable-car to reach the top (good idea if it is too hot).
There are royal palaces, temples and other fine buildings, mostly dating back to the 19th century when king Rama IV decided to have one of his residences being built here.
The Khao Wang is very popular with thai tourists and it can get quite crowded during holidays. Leave a Comment
