In a nutshell
nature: the core of the Thai experience ...
One of the Best Nights I had in Rayong!
Most of my nights in Rayong were spent at small and quiet bars with not much to do, which I do enjoy when I feel like relaxing. However the Lunar Dawn beach party was just full of energy and excitement.
The party is on a beautiful Private Beach, soft sand, clean sea water and palm trees but it was the set up and entertainment which gave the environment the spice it needed for an awesome night! Each Party has a Theme, the one I went to was Neon Paint Themed. For the set up there was a tropical palm leaf Bar on the beach, raised DJ set with awesome sound system, UV lights and crazy light show playing on the palm trees and mats and tables near the water. The entertainment was Wild! Sexy neon painted professional dancers who's moves were hypnotising, a white wall for the Live Graffiti artist! his work evolved all through the night, a fire show and lastly the DJs themselves with all different styles of music to heal the soul from stress.
I've been to the Full Moon parties in Koh Phagan but this was a completely different feel. This party was so well organised! There was effort and thought put into the party that it wasn't just a radom collection of clubs on a beach. It was set up in a way were you felt everyone was there for the same reason and that you were all part of the same thing, to celebrate the beautiful full moon. I felt safe, welcomed and full of energy! Everyone was just there to have an awesome time so we All got along perfectly! And this is not what you find on Koh Phagan.
Right next to Bangkok its the perfect way to get away from the pollution and chaos of the city. Recommended Highly!
Dress Code: Its a beach party to Swimsuit, Shorts. It also depends on the Theme of the Party.

Come to Rayong, you have to buy fruit from here for sure. It's very cheap anywhere you go especially at the Fruit market.
What to buy: It depends on the season. This time (June, July) you can buy Rambutan, Durian, Mangosteen, star fruit etc.
What to pay: Rambutan is about 10 Baht per Kilo.
Durian is about 25 Baht per Kilo
Mangosteen is about 15 Baht per Kilo.
This is wholesale price and center of fruit which it spreads to many city in a country.

Freshly caught and cooked seafood in a Thai fishing village on the Mae Had Ramphueng beach.
Highly recommended:
grilled shrimp with chillie-garlic sauce (goong phao)
steamed crab (poo nueng)
crab in yellow curry (poo karee)
rock lobster stir-fried with toasted garlic (kang phad grathiam)
red snapper steamed in lime juice with garlic, chillies and coriander leaves (plaa nueng manao)
deep-fried tilapia with a 3-taste sauce (plaa nin saam rod)
fried rice with seafood mix (khaao phat thalee)
A gargantuan dinner for 2 with rivers of ice-cold Thai beer will set you back about 15-18 Euros.
How to get there: 11 km from Rayong City. Catch a "song thaeo" truck-bus going to Mae Had Ramphueng. There are tens of such seaside restaurants to find there. This area is extremely popular with city-weary weekenders from Bangkok coming for some truly fantastic food.
Warning: you will really need to speak Thai there though, good luck!
