Spicey: Life after Gullivan's

by iljambonsen

Is there life after Gullivan's? Yes there is! Left with two new found friends to Spicey, a shabby bar around 15 minutes from Koa Sang road. It is expensive (300Baht, of which 200B goes to the taxi/TukTuk driver, so if you're really smart (unlike me) you should be able to get paid to be driven:-) and shabby and shabby (see the pics). However, if you have an open mind, it is a very, very good place to party till after the sun has rissen.Forget about the taxi's waiting close to the door, leave the place, walk 30 meters and you can take a metered ride in the morning. I've put some info on my Blogas well. none

Night Life

by Gili_S

The nightlife in Thailand is known to be a bit on the wild side for many reasons which I am not going to explain here, everyone can make his own choices of what is suitable for you, I just know that the most of it is not at all to my style.

Peony Club: Great nightclub in Suphan Buri

by bastos60

The club when you first enter looks very high. The club was pretty big. Many people that can be seated at tables in front of the dj and many more seats around the dance floor. The club started to get busy around 9 - 10 when the first live show is on. The show by itself was pretty good, and the dancers were very good, although you could pick out which one have been professional and which are freelancers. The show differs every night but you are very likely to hear several performances again but the show is so good that you really wouldn't mind. The band leader also has time to throw in some jokes and funny acts are part of the whole deal. Not many farangs around when I was there, think they rarely see any, only one other guy I saw there during my 5 day stay. Music is good, but loud, so be warned. I really recommend visiting the club. No real dress code. Casual dressing is fine.

Screwboy and Pattaya soi 3: Gay venues

by expatbangkok

Along the busy streets of Bangkok: Elephants in the streets

by moondeaux

The vendors were selling every kind of creature from the sea. The nightlife was so diverse with everything from a man laying on the sidewalk with no legs, to a man with his elephant, to Tourist's watching it all, to Thai's showing off their western style of dress. Anything goes. You won't need a coat here! Long sleeves are even too much.

Speedy's Bar: Home away from home

Bars and a lot of kick boxing

by colman.ek

We were in pattaya 2 hours from bangkok it is very lively resort with loads to do day and night even-though the beach was not great for swimming as it was very busy with boats but there is a better beach not far away.At night there is a lot going on from some great restaurants and bars to go go bars and a lot of bars that you can sit and watch kick boxing. Dress code is casual as it is a holiday resort just t-shirts and shorts.

The famous Khao Sarn Road: Falang Central

by globally79

Every tuktuk driver in Bangkok knows how to find this street, which is pretty much backpacker central. Its absolutely jampacked with tourists, but a visit to Bangkok wouldn't be quite complete without checking it out. Plenty of good places eat, drink and schmooze with fellow travellers and locals. Plenty of souvenirs, pirated CDs/DVDs, sarongs, t shirts and trinkets, most of which can be found cheaper at the Suan Lum night market. At one end, Gullivers is a tourist trap, but a friendly one. The Khao Sran Road is a great place to just walk up and down one night, enjoy the hustle, eat a ten baht pad thai, wander in and out of bars and see how many different people from different places you can meet. casual
