"German style" beer gardens in the Suanlum Night Bazzar are a good place to hang out in the open air with friends. The place is packed all throughout the week and its a nice place to do some people watching.
Bangkok is truly a city that never sleeps and you'll have a multitude of nightlife options to choose from. We like to go out and play pool at any one of the hundreds of beer/pool bars on Soi 4, Soi 22, Khao San Rd., etc. The beer is cheap and the games are even cheaper at about 20 baht.

Q Bar was feature on "Wild on" E! channel here in California. So it was on top of my "check it out" list. It was pretty good. Clubbing, Dancing clothes. If you don't know what that is, this club is not for you.
The Saxaphone Club, a hip little jaunt, somewhere in the depths of Bangkok. It serves excellent food, good wine and plenty of other booze. But more importantly, is the talent. Music ranges from rock covers, to ska bands, to progressive moods. All of it quality. You walk in with a bar on your right and a stage to your left that its surrounded by seating. Up above you is another mezzanine level seating area that looks onto the stage below. The clientele is predominantly Thai, so dress clean, no scabby back packing sandles.
Bubble is a nightclub that has a mix of both Thais and forigners. Its a nightclub with a DJ that plays all night til 2am. Its 100bhat to get in but you get a free drink with entry. This place is probably the most popular nightclub in Chiang Mai. It has a good atmosphere with plenty of girls and guys to meet for those who want to. Its located under a big rich hotel and is well worth a look. casual clothes are prefered
Patong Beach is the center of all tourist oriented nightlife on Phuket. Here, located within a radius of half a kilometer around Soi Bangle, are over 150 bars and small pubs. The pubs, bars and go go bars of Patong Beach are the most popular nighttime destinations on the island.
The Lion is night club where alot of the Thais go and not many tourists. It is pronounced LEE-ON but spelt like LION. This place was showed to us by good thai friends that we met in Chiang Mai. The place has a live band playing until round 12.00 then a DJ takes over. The place is very nice and has alot of beautiful girls for all the guys out there. I would recommend this place for it has a great atmosphere. anything really goes
Try meeting some locals and they will show you the best spots. When i was there i met a group of locals and they invited me to one of there partys at someones house. This was one of the best nights of my life and it was really good to see how they party and they can party believe me. I was hang over big time the next day.
