I suggest that it is good to get up early and photograph the monks as they walk round town early morning collecting their alms. The locals are patiently waiting with rice, food, drinks and other items to donate to the monks.
"Ganga restaurant" near Tha Kog temple, Chaikhongroad opposite Soi 19 It's the "must" place to go, I feel so relax after the long day trip with the dazzle breathtaking 180-degree panoramic views of Meakhong river,to see all the river side life of local people. I got many magnificent photos there!!!!
Am so enjoy with the variety international beer, especially the price as low as buy from super market. The owner so lovely and friendly, she love to share experience and knowledge about beer+coffee+food, I just love that.
Also the great and so delicious breakfast, big rich cheesy pizza, steak, German sausage and such. I can say that the pizza is the best of the best, not only best in Chiang khan but best in Thailand.
Favorite Dish: Pizza, ABF, rich coffee , German Beer......
Managed by a very friendly couple with a panoramic view of the Mekong River and of Lao on the opposite bank.
Favorite Dish: Served one of the best & largest Pizzas I have ever had in Thailand and also had a extensive selection of German wheat bears as well as the normal range of Thai beers.
