British visitors may be somewhat surprised to see a huge branch of the UK-based chain here in the North-East of Thailand. Here it is, nontheless, and it's proving to be a hit with the locals. There's the usual large range of food and drink - in particular it's a good place to get food that appeals to Europeans such as breakfast cereal, orange juice, biscuits and chocolate - and there is also a large range of bargain clothing. In addition it's a great place to pick up toiletries and household goods should you need them.
Fixed prices, and credit cards are accepted at the tills. Opening hours are currently 9am until 11pm. There's plenty of parking - much of it underneath the store - the main hypermarket is one level up, and there are special escalators you can take your trolley on to and from the shop.

An old community of pottery makers where 's still work both old style and modern style.Daan Kwean village 's an old community of Mun River plain. It used to be a rest area for a group of caravan which travelled between Khorat and Khmer. The vehicle of the time was bullock cars. And it became the name of this village "Daan Kwean" means bullock cars barrier. Originally, the local people here worked as agriculturist, they maked pottery to support their life. For making, they use,it 's unique clay which delicated but sticky. This clay have the main component of iron.It made the burning pottery to be brightened iron color. That kind of clay come with Mun river which run pass the village and be a sediments in rice field. After the farming season, farmer always dig the clay to make a pottery both for everyday life and to exchange.Nowaday, the village changed to be a pottery making for commercial. Klang Plazza is a popular departmentstore in Korat Downtown apart from the biggest one, The Mall which still further outside the ciy. Klang Plaza located in central of the town, close to provincial hall and Thao Suranaree Statue. It becomes the oldest shopping mall in town now but still popular as I guess because of the good location.
There are two branchs and the big one as in the picture.
What to buy: Everything as the other department Stores normally provide. Beside that, on top floor, there is some IT boots and at ground floor, there are big supermakrt, food cort, and some nice small restaurants.

The Mall is exactly what it says - a huge airconditioned mall right on the inner Korat ring road (also known as the Mittraphab
or Friendship Highway). It contains an excellent department store, a multiscreen cinema, numerous small stores, a mini-theme park (great for small kids), a nice food court, and several fast-food restaurants. Very popular with the locals - this place is packed on Saturdays.
If you need your fix of modern life, this is the place to get it. Most of the signing is in both English and Thai, so it's pretty easy to find your way around.
What to buy: It's a good place to shop for high-quality clothing, although expect to pay department store prices. There's also a branch of Boots here, so you can pick up some sunscreen (and Tiger Balm) while you're here. The news-stand near to Boots is a good place to find a copy of the Bangkok Post, as well.
