If you like seafood very much, you really have to go to this place. This place is called Anusan Food Market. There are several big stalls selling all kinds of seafood you can think of. Not only that, they can be cooked in various way: steam, grill, roast, etc... Besides that, you can also order for local-style food if you like. Just tell them, they will prepare for you.
I saw some photos of special ice-cream at a stall there and was thinking of getting some ice-cream for dessert.. Then i walked around the area to next stall to see if there is anything nice to try. I was not a seafood lover, but i decided to try the local-style mussel as the photos they showed me looks very delicious. Then i went back to the previous stall to order some ice-cream... to my surprise, they didn't want to serve me because i was sitting at next stall. I was very upset with the way they did their business and i never get anything to drink at all... And honestly, the mussel I ordered really suck!
Just becareful of what and where you want to order or else you will end up not getting the food you like. Ask around for the price and try to see how good they're serving the food...
Beside the seafood, there were some Halal food serve opposite the area. For those Muslim tourists, this will be the best place for them to eat...

Address: Anusan Market, off Chang Khlan Rd
This is a great place to eat. Lots of outdoor food vendors to choose from.
Wander around and have a look at what's cooking before you make a decision. The choice will be hard, everything is so tempting. But the good thing is that it's all so cheap, you could try a couple of dishes and not break the budget.
The Pad Thai was very good.

You will find street food all over Chiang Mai. At the Anusan ( a few blocks away from the night market) you can find some nice street food vendors selling everything from noodles, pad thai, curries to Thai cakes (kuehs) for dessert.
The meals are quite good and cheap. The vendors are pretty honest about prices.

But, i wont. From this market you get seafood in cheap prices with high quality.
We ate there two times, and tried shrimps, crabs, shells, clams,...Also lobster available for a price of 1400 baht/kilo, or you can fix the price for 1400 baht/piece(usually 1200-1400gr).
Favorite Dish: Spicy seafood!
