The La Gandola is an Italian restaurant on the river. Since it is near the American Embassy I ate there before the afternoon opening time.
Favorite Dish: Fettuccini
We had a dish of yellow curry crabs from this restuarant and it was cheap(320 baht for 2 medium-sized crabs) and good! would definitely go back to this restaurant the next time I am there!
There are many restaurants near the Night Market in Chiang Mai which offer free Thai dancing shows, for only the cost of the meal or some beers.
Favorite Dish: Pay a visit the local markets, home styled fried chicken is very popular dish here, cheap & good. Much more tasty than KFC!!!
This is the chicken porridge I had in this "no name" local breakfast place. Smooth and tasty, great choice!
Favorite Dish: Thai barbecue is popular, streets stalls everywhere. Chicken wings, chicken legs, fish, pork neck, pork heart.... whatever you can think of. Another Yummy!!!
Favorite Dish: Guess what is this? Incense stick? Nope. I put this under the food/restaurant tips, then of course this is a kind of food...
Favorite Dish: Unlike Bangkok and the South, khao niaw ( sticky rice) is the main accompaniment to every meal. It served in small woven bamboo baskets and eaten with the hand .
A very nice tai restaurant (one of the best I've tried in Thailand). You'll eat in a beautiful garden. The food is absolutly delicious.
Not very easy to find, it's not very far from the night market.
