Live traditional Thai music, candle lit and on the water. Its romantic and certainly a nice place to go with your sweetie. All the food is exquisitely prepared but a touch on the pricey side (by Thai standards). Expect long waits as the service is extremely slow. It is worth the wait.

Situated along the Ping River, The Gallery Restaurant and Bar is a dining pleasure! Built in 1892 by the grandfather of the current owner, the Chinese style front building currently houses the art gallery while the rear structure built of teak-wood in Northern style is used as the riverside restaurant. Interestingly, former First Lady, Hillary Clinton dined here once.
Favorite Dish: Tiliapia in steamed curry was the absolute best! I had a cold that day and felt guilty that I couldn't fully enjoy my meal, but from whatever remaining taste buds I had, I could recognize the deliciousness of this dish. Additionally, the pork on the sugar cane and prawn appetizers were a treat.

Gallery sits right next to Mae Ping River. There are quite a few other similar places on this side of the river and they all look like happening places.
Dining on the patio next to the river is a great experience.
Favorite Dish: Extreme tasty, and spicy, Kontoke dinner. I especially enjoy the chili dip for vegies.

Wonderful food here. Bill Clinton apparently ate at this restaurant too. If it is good enough for him it is good enough for me!
Favorite Dish: The lemon chicken and crispy seaweed still makes my mouth water.
