There were not many restaurants open, however the Sriwan was directly opposite our hotel and looked the best of those available outside the Resort. It is a large restaurant having an indoor section and a large verandah dining area which looks out over the river.
We dined inside which is an open sided restaurant which adjoins the verandah. The first thing we noticed was the mosquitos, plenty of them and soon everyone was lathered with protection.
The menu contained a large number of local dishes, all priced no higher than 150 Baht ( Au $5). We had nearly 30 people from our group dine together and this caused some delays. The food was good.
