There are dogs everywhere in Thailand especially in this part of the country, strays or otherwise and unfortunately some are not as "well behaved" as the ones in Europe. They will tend to bark at you relentlessly as they are not used to strangers and most mean no harm but be careful of the ones in the Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park. Got chased by a couple of unprovoked strays in the park, thankfully made a speedy getaway in my little rented bicycle - if not would have ended up with rabies or something. The park is very large and u may be the only lonely traveller for miles, so no one will be able to help u or hear u scream ........ UNESCO, please help!

This is the reason why I made a day trip to this town. I had wanted to see the sleeping Buddha...with a smile!
