This is a great day out visit the Elephant farm north of Chiang Mai at Maesa.. I organised this trip by taxi and ...The time to drive there , time waiting at far, and my return was negotiated.This price will depend on your own bargaining skills. but it is not very negotiable.
The taxi with the driver turned up at pre-arranged meeting place and the drive to Mae sa was a pleasant one considering the traffic...The driver was a very knowledgeable person on local interest and answered most of my queries and his english was good.The vehicle was a new 4x4.
The Mae sa Elephant farm is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand and I must say, I thouroughly enjoyed it...When I arrived, I paid my entrance fee..organised my meeting spot with the driver, paid my entry fee and bought some fruit for the Elephants. Just be careful as once they get a hold they don't let go and dont know their own strength....here you can watch as the elephants are washed in the river and also they play all sorts of games and show off their lifting skills ,and to watch them paint is incredible. Photographic opportunities are everywhere.
