Actually it is a n Orchid Farm and right next to it the Restaurant.
So after having a closer look at all the nice Orchid species (and maybe buying some) - have a rest and eat something.
It was very good and fresh food here, too.
Favorite Dish: They had Buffet,
I really liked the fresh Tempura!
And the soup - wich you could put together as you liked: with Noodles, Soja sprouts, chicken,
add coconut and spices as wished (be careful with the chili!)

The meal stop on my day tour of Northern Thailand was at the Golden Iyara Resort. It's located a short distance from the centre of Sop Ruak. The meal was a buffet with a good selection of both local & international hot & cold dishes.

I found this restaurant while walking on the main road which is Pohonyothin Rd. I was searching for arabic food and right infront just discovered this place. The staff was friendly and you can see many foreigners especially backpackers coming here. They have large variety of arabic dishes and all are well prepared i guess, as i just tried 5 in 2 days. Just to make sure this restaurant is located on the same road where you can see PIZZA 1112 and SWENSENS ICECREAM.
Favorite Dish: I ordered cheese sandwich, salad, shawarma with chicken. All were fine. It costed me a 100 baht for 1 time of a meal with a drink.

Address: On the south end of the main shop areas.
My friend told me that "Fa Sai" means clear and beautiful sky inThailand language. It's an attap roof hut restaurant in a open compound, where the seats and tables are made from wood.
Favorite Dish: They have buffet bbq steamboat here. The food are yummy and the price is excellent...so cheap at 69baht per person at all you can eat excluding drinks. And they have so many varieties of vegetables, meat, just may be no seafood like big prawns, crabs etc except mussels. But their vegetables are so fresh that they are so juicy and yummy. One that you should never forget to try.

Good value for money!

After the boating on the Mekok River this was a very nice Restaurant to be in.
It is not only a Restaurant, it belongs to a Resort right at the River, where you can stay.
It looked nice enough, but we only ate our lunch here.
The view on the River is a must, the food is o.k. but not spectacular.
As a group we had Buffet, but I suppose you can also eat a la carte here.
Favorite Dish: Classical Thai dishes (Curry and such).

A lot of people that live ini that area come from China.
They fled after the Mao regime took over the power and stayed here later.
So lots of shops have chinese signs on it and you can find a real chinese Restaurant here with genuine chinese specialities.
The view over the hills is very pleasant, so try to sit outside, if you can.
(They also have rooms, if you want to stay here)
Favorite Dish: Chinese dishes.

The Restaurant is located a little outside right at a River.
While you are dining or lunchnig you have a real nice view.
They let water run down the open spaces on long threads to cool the air a litle - quite nice when it is so hot.
Favorite Dish: They serve the classical Thai dishes.
Simple but well done

Located in the Old Chiang Mai cultural Centre, where you can also buy your share of souvenirs during the day is the Restaurant.
During the dinner (that should start around 7 o´clock - all eat at the same time) you will be presented with traditional music and dances.
Favorite Dish: Kantoke dinner it is what you get there.
This means on a big wooden plate they bring you several small dishes:
Curry with pork, deep fried bananas, deep fried pork skin (quite good, actually, like chips with bacon), sauce with tomatoes, chicken sticks, some vegetables.
Served with this is of course rice.
I would say it was the most fattest food I ever ate in Thailand.
It was good anyway and when one of the dishes went out, they refilled it.
