Cabbages & Condoms: Eat and Support A Good Cause

by MN_Girl

Great Thai food, with a great atmosphere. The food is yummy and it's an all around fun place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Best of all the profits go to support PDA (the non-profit Population & Community Development Association).Who can beat a slogan of "making condoms as easy to find as cabbages"!!!! Green Curry!!!

Mango Tree: Incredible Thai food in Bangkok

by lennywoods

Great ambience with live music for a few hours. Excellent and thorough menu, friendly staff, and right next to the night market.I've been three times over the two trips I've taken to Thailand and never been disappointed. Make sure you either reserve or come early/late. The wait can be upwards of 30 mins - 1hour at times. masamman curry - a sort of sweet curry from northern Thailand, influenced by the Indian trade routes and spices years ago.

Cabbages and Condoms: There's a condom on my table!!!

by lennywoods

Very innovative Thai cuisine can be found at this unique restaurant tucked away off of the main Sukhumvit Road.Briefly, the restaurant was founded with charity in mind to bring birth control and condom usage to mainstream society in Thailand. The gift shop even sells t-shirts stating, 'Cabbages and Condoms, Our food is guaranteed not to cause pregnancy.'Aside from the uniqueness of the restaurant, the food is incredible, one of the highest recommeded establishments in the city and the atmosphere is very very romantic and relaxing. Also, the cost is relatively cheap compared to other city favorites.

Cabbages and Condoms: Whats in a Name?

by squidchip

This restaurant with 5 locations over Thailand has some good food. Mostly traditional Thai dishes served at pretty reasonable prices. The theme is quite funny with condoms being offered like breath mints after the meal. 2 in Chaing Rai, Buriram, Bangkok, & Khorat. sam lee dad deaoDeep fried fish served with mango on the side.

Ban Thai Guesthouse: Everything you like, they have it

by chrisvandenbroucke

Brew Pavilion: Zany Cross Cultural Fun

by loutzenhiser

For a truly interesting experience, visit the gigantic Brew Pavilion in Bangkok. It is the Thai version of a German beer hall, with live entertainment (no Oom-Pah here though - Thai Pop Music comes with your beer), great on-site brewed beer and reasonably good German food and great Thai food. This is not the tourist spot you might think. The first time I went there with Thai friends, I was the only non-asian person in the 3000+ seat hall. Mostly the crowd is young hip Asians out with their friends.Another added bonus of Brew Pavilion - men get a little massage from an ancient bathroom attendant while they pee The beer is the real winner here, almost as good as a traditional German lager. The pork-shank is delicious and very traditional. The salmon sashimi is always a winner. They of course have the standard giant Thai menu with 300+ items, most all of which is reasonably good.

Ambassador Hotel: Great Buffet

by squidchip

The buffet inside the Ambassador Hotel is great if you are hungry and on a budget. For around $6 US you can have all you can eat. Fish, sushi, breads, noodles, rice, appetizers, all sorts of meat and desserts. The buffet seems to change a bet day to day but there is always good stuff to be had. The buffet seems to be offered only for lunch. 11am-2 in the cafe Everything

Koh Lanta Pizza: Pizza In Bangkok

by YaaDong

If you are looking for a decent pizza head to Lanta Pizza in O-Bangkok Guesthouse Soi. Rambuttri near Khaosan Road. Bangkok. Baked in a Charcoal Oven all fresh ingredients; more toppings; more cheeses; make for a pizza that smells good and is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside (thin crust style) Also available Special Pasta, Salads, Steak, Sandwich & Breakfas The quality of the pizzas is excellent The bases are not too thick and they don't hold back on the topping especially the cheese. The restaurant itself is nothing special, with only a handful of tables, but if you are hanging around Khaosan then this is one of the better places to eat in the area, and it does not get too crowded. The pizzas cost around 200 baht Pizza, salads

Baja Tacos, Hua Hin: Another good Tex-Mex

by tigertribal

Great tacos & burritos etc. Just tick the boxes on the menu for what you want & it will be served very quickly.I'm sorry, I did not get why the owners dog had its claws painted?Located in the heart of the Night Market, left hand side heading towards the railway line.Recommended.

Monsoon Restaurant, Hua Hin: Good Vietnamese

by tigertribal

Tasty Vietnamese & Thai cuisine, including a daily set menu. The restaurant is in a 2 story colonial-style building, which has an open-air dining room & garden terrace. The only criticism I would have is that if you get a table that is on the balcony over-looking the main strret, there is a lack of light to read the menu & see what you are eating.Located on Naretdamri Road?Recommended.
