Fear Factor - If you dare to eat these creepy things

Hehe..On the way to the Floating market, you could see a stall selling fried giant worms, giant scorpian, giant grasshoppers, cockroaches...Oh no, I'm already sick looking at those things. Are they really for human consumption...

Anyway, my younger sister bet with me for some $$$$, if I dare to eat one..just 1 piece of silk worm. yugghhhs...arrggh...See picture 5, my face eating a worm!!!

Don't you think the scenery is awesome at Klonghae River, with so much small sampan (Boats) lined up in a row, selling all kind of foods, you can find the Spicy favourite Tomyam, Somtam (Mango salad), Mango and durian with Sticky rice, Longan and Coconut water, thai coconut ice-cream..Wow, all served in beautiful clay plate, mug and some on fold banana leaves and bamboo. aaahh.. you can also take back those plates and mugs as souvenirs.

Amazing all food there is so cheap around 20 to 40 Bhat.

Khong Hae Floating Market is a must to visit when you are in Hat Yai. Its one of the attraction for tourists to visit this Floating Market, it only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 4pm till night. This is my first time visiting the Floating market with my family. Take a tuk-tuk from Hat Yai, bargained again for 400Baht for a to and fro trip, its a 20-30 mins ride, depends on the heavy traffic in Hat Yai. Bargain with the tuk-tuk driver if they can wait for 2 hours when you are at Floating Market. There so much to see and eat for such little time of an hour. Remember to bargain.

Once you reach the Floating Market, you will see a lot of street food before you crossed a bridge where you will see the floating market, with so much sampans (small boats) with so much of food to eat. Before that, you will be greeted by a baby elephant, its so cute and tame, buy some sugarcane treats (for 20Bhat) for the elephant and take pictures. I went there around 7pm, and the scenery there was so awesome...
