check the island out on a day trip!

You should have prior experience because there are steep slopes and serpentines (also it's better to ride one bike a person to manage the bike better).

Take new bikes and try it out before you rent it. The prices are very low, even if you take a good bike. If I rembember right, I paid 500 Baht for an entire day (2003).

 matseb Says:  In 2002, my girl friend an me had a nice time in a newly built front row bungalow with sight to the shore. Unfortunately right in front of the resort, there are just rocks but the sandy beach is just 30 ft. away. The price was 500 THB (hi peak season) for the entire room...

The place is on a cliff overlooking the sea. You can get Wiener Schnitzel, Gulasch, Salads Soups, Wein, Thai food as well.

Every day around 9.30 am, in high season also later, 150 baht. No pier in Ko chang, be prepared you will get wet feet!
The Pier in Ranong is at Sapan Pla next to the Ranong Custom House and near the pier to Kawthoung / Myanmar.

Favorite thing: Rather slow internet not wallways working at the Mini Market and in the Village, 100 Baht per hour.
Wifi at Cashew Resort, 1 Baht per minute, 30 Baht minimum. Fairly good Wifi at the Suan Por Resort (south, next to Mamas Resort)
