During low season it is very hard to find a massage place that could do four massages at the same time. We went to about 10 places and finally ended up at Moon Massage which is a few kilometers south of Saladan Town on the right hand side of the main road. It is a very pretty clean place with lots of beautiful plants and water features, plus a very friendly cat.

Massages are more expensive on Koh Lanta than in Phuket, The four of us all had one hour foot massages which were 350baht each, massage are more expensive on Koh Lanta than in Phuket.

It was a laying down foot massage and has to be the most painful one I have ever had. No one else had a problem and they all enjoyed theirs. A couple of days later the back of my legs behind the knees were black!! First time I have had such big bruising from a foot massage. Besides that though, it was a nice place and the girls are lovely.

Klong Dao Beach

Koh Lanta has quite a few beautiful beaches and the best part is there are some safe swimming beaches even in the low season.

Of course my favorite is Klong Dao Beach which is at the northern tip of the island. We were there in September and many of the beaches were very rough and not suitable for swimming.

Klong Dao Beach is protected and the water was perfect!

Kaw Kwang Beach

Kaw Kwang beach is separated from Klong Dao beach by a hill, it is very quiet and secluded.

When the tide is out you can also walk to a little island.
This beach is also good for snorkeling.

Bakantiang Beach

This beach is at the southern end of Koh Lanta and it is also where you will find the famous Same Same But Different restaurant.

Unfortunately we do not rate the restaurant highly at all.
