As far as I know there is nothing to worry about when visiting Koh Phaluai.The only thing on sale is food and drink from the islands only restaurant and prices are very reasonable.I think it may be possible to buy a talking minah bird; but unless you are living in the area, it is highly unlikely that you would wish to purchase one.
