    Phi Phi ViewPoint

The Phi Phi ViewPoint Restaurant is where we had our buffet lunch.

The curry chicken was excellent! Spaghetti, fried rice, fried Calamari, vegetables and lots more which I couldn’t remember.

They have a swimming pool overlooking the bay.

    Patcharee French Bakery: Pie!!!

by AndreSTGT Updated Jul 13, 2004

    4 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This French bakery in Phi Phi town is one of those typical 'farang' places which can be found anywhere in Thailand's tourist resorts. There are, however, two reasons why i want to recommend it anyway.
First of all, their coconut-banana pie is to die for. And no, it's not a sin to eat Western food in Thailand. I also love to eat Thai food in Europe, diversity is always good.
And second, their 'pat thai' was authentic and the best one i've ever had. This means that sometimes even 'farang' places do serve authentic and good Thai cuisine.

    Gosh it looks good

Obviously one of the best kinds of food there is the fresh sea food and the way its served can make it look much more tempting and tasty....
Try any of the restaurants there, most of them are good I was happy with the food almost everywhere there although in not easy to satisfied with food..

Favorite Dish: Shrimps in pine apple juice served IN a real fresh pineapple.

    Sea Food: Anything you wish...

    The daily Catch

I trully think that if you don't like sea food or fish then its not really fun to eat in this kind of places. Although they do have surve meat its obviouse that the main, fresh an best dishes are those of the fresh sea food.
I loved walking around between the restaurants and looking at the trays with the daily catch till i found the one which looks so tempting and there i went to eat.

Carpe Diem: One of the best in Koh PhiPhi

We tried some restaurants in Koh PhiPhi and Carpe Diem was one of the best.
We stayed on the second floor, infront of the beach and we have great food and great show.
You can see a fire show without paying an extra for this.
The restaurant is in front of PhiPhi Vila resort.
You can see a real hawk in front of the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Grilled Praws, Pad Thai and Pinaple rice, and of course the buckets.

Phi Phi Princess beach restaurant: Romantic candlelit dinner

I can't actually remember the name of the restaurant but it was a very romantic setting on the beach with candlight and the soft sound of the waves.
The prawns were delicious and I can't complain about anything, the service was also excellent. If I remember correctly our bill came to 500 Baht without wine. You can definitely eat cheaper but this was a nice treat.

All over the Island: Relaxing Restaurant

    Marina relaxing

It is hard to find any bad restaurants at Phi Phi, the Island is filled with all kinds of restaurants, we found locals, Italian, etc... very nice and tasty dishes, sometimes it could get a bit boring with Thai food and then it could be time for a Pizza - dont worry - you will find what you are looking for

Favorite Dish: The best thing about this restaurant was that you could lie down and relax after the meal at some chairs

    MANY CHOICES

    by Nina-Maarit Written Jan 3, 2003

    Picture from www.tat.or.th

There are many restaurants and food stalls in the Tonsai village serving a variety of food: steaks, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, fruits etc. - and Thai food, of course! The hotels have their own restaurants, too. So you should not have any trouble finding something to eat! ;-)

The Thai Food & other Thai restaurants: REAL THAI FOOD

    Picture from www.tat.or.th

There's a few good and very inexpensive Thai restaurants in the village, nothing fancy in decorations, but very cosy, the staff is friendly, and the food is fabulous!

Favorite Dish: Some of my favorite Thai dishes:
    Tom Yam seafood soup
    Chicken soup with coconut milk
Masaman curry with beaf & all hot curries...
Fried chicken with chilli, basil & garlic
    Som tam (papaya salad)...
    ... the list is endless!

    Fatties: THAI FOOD & BBQ

Hot Tom Yam Kung soup - and Finnish beer!!

Great Thai food - the hottest and the best Tom Yam Kung soup I've ever had! - and 'all you can eat BBQ' on Friday nights. Cosy, pub-like ambience.
By the way, it's the only place on Phi Phi where you can get Finnish Lapin Kulta beer (as far as we know...)!!

Don't know the names...: FRESH SEAFOOD

    Fresh fish!

There's a couple of nice open-air seafood restaurants on Tonsai Beach in the village. But don't go there when there's heavy wind, unless you enjoy some sand in your dish... ;-)

Favorite Dish: We had fried snapper with vegetables and steamed rice, and it was delicious!

    Mama Resto!: Mamma Mia!

by Jeeem Updated Apr 4, 2011

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

One of my favorites on Phi Phi Don. Open air concept, nice waiters and waitresses, simple fare.....but beware! The mussels and/or oysters!

What can I say? The food at this place is wonderful, the presentation is great, the service is impeccable.....but!

The mussels or oysters (I'm unsure which) made me sicker than a dog. I awoke at around 2:00 a.m. to PUKE my guts out. (no, I didn't have anything else that would have made me sick).

So, be careful of the shellfish, but other than that, this restaurant is not to be missed.

    Favorite Dish: Well....ha, ha,.....

The mussels and oyster dishes were delicious....but!

The place serves many, many, many other FRESH seafood treats, so try others!

    H. C. Andersen Restaurant & Steak House: Great food at a Great price with excellent service

by Jeeem Written Dec 9, 2004

This place is awesome! A bit hard to find, but worth wandering around for...

Food is delicious! Presentation is nice, portions are decent, English menu, many, many, many foreign treats.

Favorite Dish: My favorite was the nachos. Hey, sometimes a guy just needs to go western.

There are so many delicious treats on this menu that it's not even funny. But, the deal is this: The place caters to their customers, which is more than I can say for other places on Phi Phi.

For Thai Food, Sea Food, Steaks, Barbecue, Chicken, Lobster and Pizza!

This Quaint little place, which was busy, busy, busy one night LATE wnen I was wandering around in a haze, wanting to eat some good food....

had some delicious pizza recipes on tap as well as cold beer.

Favorite Dish: I chose the weird combination of bleu cheese pizza and other italiany choices, and it was good, good, good.

Thin pizza....hot, delicious, served with a smile and fairly quick (considerding that the place was hopping at 11:00 p.m.)

The place is run by a Mr. Run Suksrimueang.

Hats off to this fellow for a simple, yet efficient and tasteful restaurant, without exorbitant prices.
