Just a tip for those who want to go to this etablissement: Beware of waitresses shortchanging at the Green Mango. Yesterday I gave a waitress a 500 THB bill for a beer (which costs 100 THB) and when she did'nt show up with the change within 15 minutes, I complained to her and then the manager. She blandly denied having gotten 500 (said it was 100 only) and the manager told me more or less to get lost. Never again.

The largest club in Samui and seems to attract the biggest crowd on any given night. From my experience it seemed to get going after 10:30pm. There is two main areas, one plays heavier techno and dance music and the other more rap and R&B. Drinks are more expensive than in surrounding areas; 100THB for Singha and Heinekin and mixed drinks from 150THB. Slightly cheaper than western club prices but compare that with the Viking Bar on the same street which serves 1L of Chang for 100THB. Has a great dance floor and usually diverse crowd. Closes around 2am.
Great club.

I think by far the best club/bar to go to in Chaweng, it seemed the most lively and had the best atmosphere. Drinks are cheap and cocktails are tasty!! ;) It doesn't start kicking off here until about midnight which is when it seems everyone on Samui decends on the Green Mango. Can get very packed and expect to get hot and sweaty. People seemed really nice and friendly and there didn't seem to be any trouble so a far cry from the clubs in London!!
Dress Code: Anything goes! Recommend shorts and bikini top for the girls if you're going there to dance!

The Catcandoo Bar is one of many bars on Koh Samui staffed by "bar girls".It is in the area known as "soi green mango".As with all these types of bars the customers are most always looking for a companion for the night or the next day or two.You can play a number of games with the girls while you decide on a course of action, the most popular being "connect 4"and be warned these girls are good so swallow your male pride & accept it when you are beaten. To have a ladies company at this bar you pay a bar fine 300THB then you & the lucky lady decide on how you will spend the rest of the evening , A good bit of advice to follow is never pay money up front to the girl always pay after & they always ask high so it`s no different than normal shopping you have to barter. If you decide you want the same lady for a period of time without her going to the bar every nite, you will have to pay the 300THB for each nite she`s with you as a form of compensation for the bar not having that girl there to attract customers, but chances are that if you are spending a day or 2 without her going to the bar ,when you ask her what do you want to do tonight you can bet it will involve a stop by her bar for a drink or 6 because at the end of the month the girl will get a sum of money as a top up to what she can earn herself for having used her "charm" to sell drinks, some bars have been known to charge the girl the applicable bar fine if she doesn`t want to work., but most nights they will work just some nights they try harder than others.
Treat these ladies well because for however long you are with the lady she will consider herself your girlfriend & act accordingly & if she doesn`t send her packing but if you decide you would like the company of another girl it would be advisable to try another bar.

The Green Mango is mental. It has something for everyone. We went with a couple of our friends who work in Koh Tao in a dive school.
The first bar we went in was called 'Catcando' and we had a Samsong bucket which at the time didnt seem strong. 4 more later and i knew i was drunk. Its a fairly nice bar with loads of 'friendly' girls and it has an upstairs terrace so you can watch people go about there drunken business.
The Green Mango itself is massive and the sound system is really good. The music was good too.
We ended up in a small bar called 'Smile bar' and drank some more buckets and then it was 2am and the place shuts down. There are places that stay open later but you have to ask around.
It just so happens that the police were over from Bangkok so everyone was on best behavior and it meant that we had to loiter around 7eleven and drink Heineken (well we didnt have too but we wanted to) until the morning.
Dress Code: No dress code as far as i am aware. Its way too hot for jeans so 3/4 length shorts are a happy medium.

Well, it is what it is, basically a huge melting pot of sunburned farangs with god knows what on their minds, local chicks, ladyboys looking for some (perhaps financially rewarding) action and shady thai dudes. One chick came up to me, snogged me on sight then said "Hey! Where are you from?" "um.. Scotland" "oh, I only like english guys..."
Must be said i was only there for about 15 minutes, basically i can only imagine that if you want to get laid (for free) its not gonna be too tough.

Basically, this area is a bunch of bars and nightclubs all extremely close to each other, none having much in the way of walls seperating them. That means that you will hear not only the music of the club you are in, but 2 or 3 others at the same time. There is every type of music represented here, so everyone should find something to their liking.
Dress Code: Shorts, sandles, whatever.

A truly multicultural experience, the Green Mango is probably Samui`s most popular night spot. The action hots up around 10 and is full on till close at 2. if you love to dance then go and have a look, even if you don`t dance go and have a look at the people sideshow,it`s a real eye opener.
A friendly tip if you plan on taking a Thai person here make sure they have their ID or they won`t get in.
Dress Code: no dress requirments,I suggest you wear something light &cool if you intend to dance.
