NaTian Butterfly garden is a nice place to go to especially with the family. You know kids love butterflies! If you don't mind the hot weather and enjoy abit of a walk you will like this place .You can see alot of colourful butterflies here in a natural environment.I'm not sure if this place gets crowed but it was very peaceful when we went .Wondering through the garden trying to get pictures of butterfly that wouldn't move can be hard work so make sure you have some water. The little museum is on top of the hill and by the time you get there you should be sweating buckets.Cool off with an ice-cream from the little over priced shop and look at the collection of dead butterflies and bettles on display .

Visit the Na Tian Butterfly Farm at Laem Set, in southern Samui. Thousands of multicoloured butterflies live in a natural garden protected by a large net cage. In the grounds of the park you can also visit traditional Thai beehives and an insect museum.
Outside of the farm though you're guaranteed to spot huge butterflies floating around the island. Every morning I would sit out on my balcony and watch them flying around the pond, some looked liked birds they were so big! :)

This Butterfly Garden is really a nice thing to do. Sometimes Koh Samui rains, and its a nice thing to do on an overcast day. Bring a camera, and a video camera is a great way to capture this experience.

I loved having butterflies fly all around me while enjoying a hilltop view of Samui. There are at least 100 butterfly species in Thailand & 25 of them are represented at this garden. You can see some insects & small creatures displayed in glass paneled frames as well: butterflies native to Malaysia & Indonesia, crickets, tarantulas, spiders & other arachnids. There is also a bee house you can visit.
Your 170 baht entrance ticket includes the butterfly garden, the bee house, & 1 free glass of their signature drink (I missed out on that one).

Another destination that you can travel to by scooter is the Butterfly House. Na Tian Butterfly Garden is situated at the bottom of the hill south of the island. Apart from the numerous species of butterflies on display, there are also other interesting features in the garden: The bee house, a Thai style house which allows the visitor to observe the activities of bees. The insect museum, rare insects from Thailand and other countries are displayed here

Samui Butterfly garden is on the south east coast of Ko Samui. It is situated on a sloped lot, with a net over the top of the compound. Even the video that we shot couldn't capture the amazing sight of all the butterflies in that small area.
