90 metres high above the landing strip of Ko Samui airport (this is the pagoda you see to your right on arriving) the Khao Hua Jook pagoda is splendidly isolated from the world at its feet until the evening that is. And then the Q-bar starts its thundering noise. During the day there is no such problems with very few people finding their way up here. It's true that without your own vehicle it is difficult. A stiff climb up takes you onto an open air veranda that runs right the way round, then a further flight takes you up to see the Gold Buddha. In the lower hall there is another effigy of Buddha and also a replica of Buddha's footprint.
