Just came back from this beautiful island and feel to share a discovery: A small Restaurant called Rice Paddy situated at one nearby Pasai beach where we stayed.
Discovered by our daughter, because on first sight they seem to sell only icecream (yummy italian gelato).
But the menu made us curious and because of the low prices we came back to give a try. And we had the best meal since arrival on the island (and we tried a lot!). Sadly we could only come back two times but everything we tried was just delicious! There is Thai as well as some international food, the hummus and falafel was the best I ever had. More seafood than at some places who advertise a lot. Atmosphere was ok, toilets bad as at many places in Thailand. Beside this I whish our little Luna would discovered this place earlier.
Favorite Dish: Could not test many, but gaeng madsaman was my favorite Thai and hummus absolutely great international. Ice cream ist à MUST!

Just 5 minutes south of the resort is a place called Coconut island...we stopped here for lunch...and really enjoyed our food and the whole environment.
The people in Thailand are beautiful...and the service is outstanding. They served local, fresh food...and it was right on the corner of the island, overlooking the beach and water.
It's informal and laid back...so you could go in your swimming gear.
This also looked like a good place to stay for accomodation...seemed like there were plenty of people staying here ...young, old...and different countries.
