The Long Boat

You don't have the big muscle arms for canoeing?
Will the long boats may be the way to go.

No...they're not Carnival Cruise Line,
but who'd want to be on one of those
on this amazing adventure?

Great views from every angle.
Comfortable flat boards seating.
Fresh sea splashed for refreshment.
Haute cuisine lunch boxes.

Happy sailings to you all.

The Schedule to get out

At Mr. Kean's office
you will see the bus schedule
of all departures to Krabi, Suratthani, Khao Lak.

I won't list all departures,
since the schedule may change,
but at the time of my visit,
there was a departure to Phuket almost every hour,
and every 30 minutes at peak times
such as between 5:50 am - 8:00 am.

Departures to Krabi were more on the hour.

The train departures to Suratthani
were less frequent,
so make sure to see the schedule before hand.

Kho Lak had several departures,
but less consistent.

Buses are comfortable,
with luggage place in the lower compartment.

Careful with your belongings while you sleep,
there are stories of people getting ripped off.

Getting to Koh Yao Noi

The Boat Service

You can hire a long boat
to privately take you to Koh Yao Noi.

Depending on tides and weather,
it may be difficult to schedule to
go there just for the day.

Normally staying overnight is required,
unless you have a contact on the other side
that is willing to bring you back.

Arrangement can be made directly
with the long boat owners or,
you can always pay a visit to Mr.Kean.
