Favorite thing: We were very impressed by the personalized travel and sightseeing service provided by Ms Sarunya of Carolina Travels at Patong Beach. We booked following tours and show tickets through and I was very satisfied by her services.
1. Phi Phi Island Tour
2. Fantasea Seat Reservation.
The Phi Phi tour by speed bost costed us THB 1500 Per person and this package included pick up and drop off from/to the hotel, lunch, drinks along the way . Our daughter who is three yrs old was not charged.
Carolina Travels is located very close to the Banana Disco, next to Patong Beach Resort. The e mail address is carolinatour@yahoo.com

Favorite thing: Phuket was to have been a nice relaxing 4 days away with a friend before packing up from living in Singapore. Unfortunately because of work committments at the last minute, I had to go by myself. The hotel that we had chosen was wonderful and private but more conducive to couples - there were heaps of Spanish honeymooners when I was there. However that did not deter me jumping on the hotel shuttle into Phuket town and finding myself a tuktuk to take me around. He drove me over to Patong Beach and then insisted on hanging around to take me wherever I wanted to go. I told him that I would probably be several hours this particular day but that didn't worry him. I kept seeing him bob up here and there, ready to coming running with his tuktuk when I was ready.
.
Fondest memory: The people were all very friendly. There is a certain warmness that the Thai people have that makes you feel welcome. Shopping for all the copy watches, t'shirts, bags etc was rather fun and considerably cheaper than the fake ones in Singapore. Cruising around Phang Nga Bay was just so amazingly beautiful.

Favorite thing: Nothing in particular. Perhaps the beautiful view of beaches from View Point. James Bond Island is a must itinerary. Souviners are cheap. Try Tom Yam, a traditional food of Thailand. Remember, Phuket lives at night!
Fondest memory: I love the show in Simon Cabaret. Done by transvestite. It's just entertaining!

Favorite thing: Phuket is a very well-developed tourist spot. U can almost find anything you want for in a holiday in Phuket.
Island Hopping - very popular activity in Phuket, you can see tour agent everywhere in Patong, selling 1 day / 1/2 day trips to the nearby beautiful islands. Go in the evening and book the trip next day, the price can get lower. Do negotiate. Most agent offers the same things, but the difference would be the service quality.
Popular destinations: Phi Phi Islands, the Khai Nok, Similan Island, Phanga Nga Bay, etc. Some of them are great spots for diving!

Favorite thing: The sightseeing cruise included a short stop at a floating muslim village in the very northern part of the Andaman Sea (Ao Phang-Nga National Park.).
The platforms seen in this photo are used to dry and ferment little anchovies and/or shrimp. The smell is outrageous.

Favorite thing: These tremendous geological formations are called karsts which are composed of limestone. Another area of the world which is famous for karsts is Slovenia and karst is in fact a Slovenian word in origin.

Favorite thing: This pretty view was taken from an open air restaurant just outside Phuket City. Can you see the elephant?
Through the magic of Photostudio I have blown it up so you can see it in the next tip.
Fondest memory: Elephants and Gibbons.

Favorite thing: Travel on a took-took in the middle of Bangkok trafic during rush hour! Thrilling!
Fondest memory: The people are so unbelivably friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel at home in their country!
This photo is taken at Phang Na Bay in the south of Thailand.

Phang Nga is a must, but the lanscape of the southern tip of the island is also very beautiful.
