Tiger is a great place to dance, dance and keep dancing. Mixed crowd of tourists, expats, and locals. The place really gets going after midnite, and has great ventalation (doesn't get smoky) Really fun place. Skip the Banana Club, unless you like loud Techno and cigarette smoke. A great English pub with huge servings of food and live music every night except Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have different drink specials depending on the day. The Texas Megaburger needs to be seen to be believed, it's massive with two meat patties. I could only eat half of one. It is served with mushrooms, coleslaw, onion rings and chips as well! Our second visit had us try some other types of food and it was all pretty good. All the serves are huge! The Thai rock band are great, even if they're not 100% sure of all the words. They really get the crowd participating and in a good mood. There is so much going on at this pub every day and night of the week. There is a huge area for kids activities, quiz nights, roasts on Sundays etc. Check the website for current details.

When night comes, Patong Beach literally turns into another world, filled with loud music and flashing neon lights. Everyone would be out in the street partying away the night. Generally, the entertainment scene in Patong is centred around Bangla road and its many offshoots. The road runs perpendicular to the beach road towards the northern end of Patong. Bangla is only about half a kilometre long so its easy to walk around and bar hop. It can seem quite seedy and you might want to keep the little ones away to avoid any lengthy explanations later, but it's also a fun and safe place. Here, you willl have a wide selection of entertainment outlets to visit - such outlets include bars, beer bars, a go-go bars, pool & sports bars and clubs offering live music. Also the whole stretch of Bangla Road is closed to traffic. For those who are not keen to visit the bars or clubs, you can shop at the Ocean Plaza Bangla or enjoy a thai-boxing match at the Bangla Thaiboxing Stadium. It's your pick! You won't miss this road as it is the only road in Patong that closes to traffic when night falls.

This is the place to go to if you like heavy metal and heavy rock. It's not my kind of music, but I don't mind listen to it now and then. And I always feel safe at these kind of places. Nobody tryes to get nasty - there are way too many big guys in black and leather there:-)) The bands playing while I was there was good, not too extreem for me. "Smily" the singer was partying togeter with us at some discos and "normal" bars too. Even some sweeds, rockers on vacation, was allowed to play there. (I was there -97)
Black, black, black, leather, leather..... nah! Come as you are. But think if you are too dressed up you will feel a bit out. Look at where there is very, very many Harley Davidson's parked !!!
