This will be my tips of the three smaller sois of bangla road. Soi Easy and Soi Gonzo is beside each other and Soi Eric is after the famous Soi Crocodile (Kathoey). The first soi of Bangla Road is Soi Easy at the left side and they have a collection of Beer and Sports Bars like the Aussie Bar and a Disco Place Called the Hollywood Disco. Soi Easy has about 25 different bars to choose from
Beside Soi Easy is Soi Gonzo and it sits across the packed bars of Bangla Road like Sunset Bar, Kangaroo Bar, U2 Bar, P One Bar. Soi Gonzo is the smallest soi in Bangla Road and only has 10 beer and sports bars and no go go bars. Soi Eric is just after Soi Crocodile and is the most organized Soi in Bangla Road as they have just one Music playing at all the bars by their own group DJ's. There are more then 30 bars, beer bars, go go bars, an art gallery in Soi Eric.
Dress Code: again very casual, you can go in your beach attire
Soi Sea Dragon has the largest and widest area of the Side Sois of Bangla Road Area. The Soi Sea Dragon is a wide, two level complex of Sport bars, beer Bars, Girly bars and some GO GO Bars (Devil's Play Ground, Suzy Wongs). The area is huge and the frontage is large and you will be tempted to go inside and choose a bar to hang around as there are many bars and beer bars and even go go bars filled with pretty thai girls in their skimpiest outfits dancing. the center part is occupied by beer bars with their multicolor shelves with plenty of loud funny girls trying you to entice you in going inside their bar. The usual applies here like you can chit chat and play games with the girls and buy them ladies drinks but don't try to ring the bell in any of the bars as it means you have to treat everyone inside the bar for one round of drinks totalling 1,000 baht. beers cost 100 baht and more, ladies drinks at 250 baht and more.
opens: 6:00 pm to 3:00 am everyday
Dress Code: again the dress code here is very casual.
Soi Crocodile is the most unique Side Soi of Bangla Road in that it specializes in Bars and Go Go Bars filled with ladyboys which caters to the gay community and curious and gawking tourists. The soi is located in the middle of the Busy bangla road and Outside this small soi, you will see many "pretty" ladyboys dancing at the entrance and at the second floor of the bars in the complex but not all the bar girls here are ladyboys, in the second floor of the soi and at the end ar the real thai bar girls that you can chit chat and play games and also they order ladies drinks like in other sois but again, the bars here are not the infamous go go bars. prices of the drinks and beer averages 100 to 140 baht for the beers and 150 and up for the cocktails.
Opens: 6:00 pm to 3:00 am everyday
Dress Code: very casual, you can come in shorts and flip flops and beach wear
Soi Tiger 2 is one Big Soi Along Bangla Road and is the most Noticeable in Appearance as it has a 3 storey structure in front and with 3 large tigers at the ends posing outside. It has a collection of Mini Bars and a disco on the third floor, all under one roof and it extends up to Rat U thit Road. The entire complex of about two dozen bars is literally a huge concrete cave. When there are a lot of people partying on Soi Tiger, it can get pretty sweaty and hot. The majority of bars are Girl Bars and some are Beer Bars and you will see lots of Bar Girls Pole Dancing around the Complex in very skimpy outfits and you can play games and have a chit chat with the bar girls and waitresses along the Soi Tiger 2 but you have to buy them ladies drinks (expensive at 250 baht a pop) and unlike the go go bars where you can pay a bar fine and take them out, the bar girls are decent ones here and they are not the notorious go go bars .
there are many minibars inside and they have different sound systems and lots of pole dancing sexy thai girls hence is the most popular soi of Bangla Road. The beers are more expensive than in the other sois around Bangla Road.
Opens: 6:00 pm to 3:00 am everyday
Dress Code: very casual, you can go in shorts and flip flops and tank tops
Soi Tiger 2 is one Big Soi Along Bangla Road and is the most Noticeable in Appearance as it has a 3 storey structure in front and with 3 large tigers at the ends posing outside. It has a collection of Mini Bars Inside and it extends up to Rat U thit Road. This review will be on the Q Bar, which is one of the mini bars inside this packed and Huge Soi with many girls pole dancing. I will have a separate nighlife tip for Soi Tiger 2.
The Q Bar is one of the many mini bars at Soi Tiger 2 and is located in the middle enrtrance of the Huge Complex and it has it's own pole vault where some of the bar girls dance in sexy outfits to entice the male tourists like us to have a drink inside. you can also have a friendly chit chat with these beautiful bartenders and bar girls and have games with them but you have to buy them ladies drinks for that (but these girls are decent and you cannot take them out or pay a bar fine to take them out as they are not gogo dancers). ladies drinks cost 250 baht here and beers like Singha Lite or Chang at 120 baht, cocktails like mai thai or tom collins at 180 baht and bar chow starts at 150 baht.

The U2 Bar is one of the many Bars along the Busy Bangla Road Area of Patong. The Bar is just across the famous Soi Gonzo but is part of the main Bangla Road Bars and sits next to Sunset bar, P one Bar, Sunset Bar and Kangaroo Bar and this area is packed with Aussie, New Zealand and European Tourists and Expatriates. The Area in front of this Beer Bar and others along it is the most packed of the areas of Bangla Road and the sounds here are loud with many DJ's playing loud music from the bars nearby and from Soi Gonzo Across it. Crowded and they have beautiful Thai Servers and Bartenders but since this is a beer bar, there is no pole dancing inside but the Thai waiters are friendly and you can make chit chat with them.
they have typical brewskies like chang, singha, san miguel beer, heineken, fosters, tiger beer and alco-pops like vodka cruisers and bacardi breezers at 100 to 140 baht per beer bottle. alco pops at 120 per bottle and cocktails at 160 baht and up.

This will be my Bangla Road at Nightlife Tips, I will have a separate tips on some of the Side Sois of Bangla Road.
Bangla Road is unrecognizable at daytime as it is just one if the streets in Patong, but when the clock strikes at 6:00 pm, the road closes for traffic and they will put road blocks at the front of Bangla Road facing the Police Station in Taweewong Road and at the Junction of Bangla and Rat U Thit Roads and the party begins!
Bangla Road will then morphed into what it is notorious or famous for!
Bangla Road is the place where one can enjoy alcoholic drinks and eat food, meet beautiful thai ladies, dance, play billiards, Thai massage, shop and spend good times with friends . As the famous Bars in Bangla Road and on the Sois in it opens. Most of the bars are outdoors so the music from each one is deafening! Beers Bar occupy most of the street's length, with several go go bars and a few pubs, restaurants, discos and shops rounding out the attractions both on Bangla and down its side streets. There are 13 or so of these sois (or side streets) and here one finds discos, go-go bars and some vast entertainment complexes which combine restaurants, bars, go-go bars and discos into a single venue with a single theme and sometimes a single set of music.
Bangla Road goes all out to entertain with girls, beers and music that increases in volume as the moon rises. Jammed most nights year round, it's actually totally unthreatening and lively place to walk around as bars compete for customers.
Dress Code: casual, bangla road is a party town hence there is no strict dress code

Unlike Bangla Road, where it is only active during the Night for it's nightlife, Taweewong Road is the all around center of activity in Patong as it hosts a huge number of commercial establishments and also many of the nice bars, lounges, beer bars, sport bars in Phuket and among the popular bars and lounges around the taweewong road area is molly malone's, Boat Bar, Blue Coral Bar, Sailor Bar an various bars in the assorted hotels and inns along the road. prices of brewskies here are about the same as in bangla road, where the average bottle of chang or singha beer is at 100 baht and tiger beer at 120 baht and assorted cocktails like thai sabai or mai thai or tom collins at 150 baht and up.
Dress Code: casual wear, you can be in your shorts and slippers here.
Molly Malones is a chain of Irish Pubs. The Name of Molly Malones was from an Old Irish Legend in the 17th century of a famous street hawker by day and prostitute by night. one good thing in staying here at Patong Beach and Phuket in general is that many of the hotels here have verandas where you can smoke and it facing the ocean, watch the sunrise or sunset or if you want to be an el cheapo, drinking beers and cocktails bought from the cheapest source there is, at the convenience stores! beer at onvenience stores only costs 30 to 36 baht for aluminum cans while it can go up to 120 baht at the bars along bangla road. alco-pops like vodka cruisers by smirnoff and bacardi breezers will cost 50 to 55 baht at convenience stores per bottle and will cost 120 to 160 baht at the bars. so you can just have your brewskie at the privacy of your hotel room veranda with your wolf pack and be an el cheapo!
Dress Code: none, this is in your hotel room!
Not like the crazy, hectic, crowded night at Patong, Phuket Town offers more relax and quite night.
Most of the guests are local, from hip urban - young - wanna be artist. The cafe is usually transformed from a shop/ gallery become a cool cozy little cafe at night where you can enjoy thai dishes with an accoustic band perform at small stage. Food & drinks usually cheap, from 20b.
And the interesting part is you can bring your own liquor, buy at the nearest 7/11 and drink at the cafe !
I visit 1 cafe that exhibit lots of vintage toys / memorabillia.
and don't forget visit the gallery, while at 22.00 the friendly owner sometimes invite you to come and look at their collection with a smile and wai :D
Dress Code: anything you want to wear
Legend's Sport's Bar is situated in Soi Eden and is Australian owned. It is a very friendly place in a nice setting and has many big screen televisions to watch your favorite live sports.
There is also a pool table and dart board with regular competitions.
The drinks are icy cold and reasonably priced.
Legend's also put on regular barbeques for their customers and the food menu features Thai and European dishes.
Try the Legend's burger, it is huge and even comes with beetroot!!
Bangla Road kind of reminds me of Kings Cross in Sydney .... two totally different places, whether you are there by day or by night! We only walked down Bangla Road once at night, and that was enough for us. This place is full of bars, nightclubs etc so it is perfect for the young, or simply the young at heart. I felt I was getting a little bit too old for this kind of scene though!!!
Bangla Road is closed to traffic during the night so it turns into one busy and crazy mall!!!
The Sunshine Bar is a fantastic bar on the beach rd at Rawai. It is very popular for families, singles and groups with many people from around the world calling in for a drink and some good clean fun.
There are many seafood restaurants next to the Sunshine Bar so why not head over for a nice dinner on the beach then some drinks and fun at the Sunshine Bar.
The girls have bongo drums, tambourine's, castanet's, Thai bells and flutes behind the bar and they have a great singing, dancing and musical act that they perform all night.
They also love children and involve them in the musical act and by the end of the evening it is shoulder to shoulder dancing with children and adults.
Join the Pole Climbers Club at the Sunshine Bar and see if you can make it to the top to ring the bell.
This has turned into quite an event, it is not as easy as it looks and there are certainly some interesting techniques.
If you can stop laughing long enough, give it a try and don't forget your camera!
