by Cielo_Algaeed A lot of tourists flocked to this famous street called Bangla Road . Many restaurants and ago-go bars are located in the area. This is also an adult spot ...so never allow your kids go on their own..You can find lots of Gay impersonators here who will asked you to take pictures of them and then they will ask for payment. Some of the clubs/bars have a huge white screen/ tv for the football fanatics who do not want to miss the game. Theme: Adult Spot

The Shipwreck Bar by johnaalex The Shipwreck is on Soi Bangla in the heart of Patong?s busy nightlife area. It is also one of the few bars in the area where the girls are there to serve drinks and not hastle the customers so it is a good place for couples. The bar is basically open fronted and most of the customers sit at the front to watch the street life on Soi Bangla. It is opposite the main area for Katoeys (lady boys) but these are just part of the entertainment. People watching is a key activity here, but there is also the music and satellite TV for sports (including the English Premier League for the soccer mad amongst us). The music played is rock and roll in all its many guises, but if you have requests then you can either select from the bar?s collection or bring your own CDs. John, the American owner is often there to act as the genial host and no doubt keep an eye on the staff ? not that they need watching. Service is quick and pleasant.

I have revisited the Ratri Jazztaurant and this is the updated review. The Ratri Jazztaurant is definitely one of the best places to enjoy an evening on the whole island. The views over Kata are impressive, as is the design and decor of the place. The live jazz really tops it all off. The band is fantastic. Great for a romantic evening or for fun with friends, I'm sure that once you've visited, you'll return. The food is more expensive than average, but is still reasonably priced and varies between quite good and very good. Service has improved, but still needs work. My advice is not to sit near the toilets when dining downstairs, as you will get a slight waft from the toilets each time they're flushed. We usually eat upstairs, unless we're ordering a substantial meal.

You just cannot go to Phuket without visiting BANGLA ROAD. The night life is unbelievable. Music from every Bar, entertainment, shopping, girlie-boy watching (dont make eye-contact) they will want you to picture them and then ask a fee. We took my 82 year old Mom for an eye-opener. We also did lots of shopping here.
No dress code required. You could go in your bikini, costume and sarong. The heat is unbearable. But you soon forget and just enjoy the atmosphere. The police close the road off from 6 pm until 6am to allow people to walk freely. The police station is situated at the top of the road for an easy view of the happenings. by Mahieu My favourite evening spot was situated at Kamala Beach. On this beach, you can find a small walkway with some great pubs. Sitting there you can listen to the music or enjoying the waves of the sea. My favourite place is called Bob's Bar, a reggae bar. The name of the owner is Nong. He's a very friendly person who can give you nice information about Phuket or any other destination in Thailand. There are some other reggae bars on Kamala Beach, but you can recognize this one at the big painting of Bob Marley. If you go there, you should absolutely taste "Bob's smile", a very delicious cocktail! Bob's Bar has been severely damaged during the tsunami. I can just hope that Nong is still ok Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

First level is the traditional Thai massage which includes, body massage, foot reflexology and facial massage. The second level is more for adults. Rock City is an impressive bar at the northern end of Beach Road on Patong that has live rock music every night. They have 3 great bands every night starting at 9PM. The first band covered a lot of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest songs, second band played a lot of the more modern rock songs like stuff from Green Day, Maroon 5 and such. The last band is always their U2/Oasis tribute band. Being musicians, naturally, my husband and I wanted to see this! What got us a little disappointed was that we were half-expecting local Thai rock bands to be performing and instead the bands were made up mostly of Europeans, i think, if not Australians. I think there were only 2 Thais I saw who played. But nonetheless, they played all the U2 and Oasis favorites. It gets pretty crowded here too and the crowd can get really rowdy especially when the crowd favorites are played. My husband loves U2 and asked if he could jam a song with the band but the band didn't want to, i guess, because they don't usually take any jammers up. But all in all, it was a pretty cool way to spend the night. But we left pretty early as we wanted to see some real local Thai bands. Rock City isn't exactly a very Thai experience since most of the people there were foreigners including the band. They do serve up a really mean chocolate martini.. You can smell the alcohol even from afar!! Watch out for their occasional International Party nights where you get as much booze as you want for only 350Baht, if i remember correctly.

by Mahieu Patong Beach is the most developed beach of Phuket. In the evening, the streets are covered with vendors, trying to sell you sarongs, watches, T-shirts, ... They are very pushy and it is not always easy to stay calm. Patong is also the place to be for gogo-bars, cabarets, restaurants and noisy pubs. Not my cup of tea, but apparently lots of people seem to like it. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking
