Hat Nai Yang Beach: Nai Yang national park beach
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nai Yang is one of the least unknown beaches in Phuket, and yet one of the most beautiful.
The beach is included in a national park, and there is also the park's headquarter.
The sand is the whitest in Phuket, there's a coral reef with small coloured fished swimming around, and there is a long row of pine trees that border the beach. Only two hotels plus the park's basic bungalows.
To eat there are a few stalls plus the park's restaurant.
    Definitely deserves a day trip.

Gibbons are often abused in Thailand. There is a black market for baby gibbons and often times bar owners will buy gibbons to entertain customers. Gibbons being very cute, they fulfill their duties until they get restless as juveniles and adults, then they start trashing the place, so the gibbons are tossed away. This center rehabilitates orphaned gibbons and teaches them how to be a real gibbon. After they acquire the necessary skills, they are released to unpopulated islands.

    Phi Phi Island
  • Tip Rating:
  • Phi Phi island is one of the most beautiful creation done by nature. it offers crystal clear blue water and uninhabited beaches. Every visitor who came to this island will automatically fall in love with Phi Phi.

Phi Phi offers accomodation ranges from a couple of hundreds bahts during the low season to as high as few thousand bahts per night during the high season.

It is a relatively small island. Therefore, the best form of transport are your legs. You can hike up the hill at Phi Phi which overlooks the entire surroundings of Phi Phi.

Water sports are always available. But it is advisable to play water sports in the morning as the waves are pretty rough in the evening.

At night, no matter where you are, the noise from the pubs and disco are bound to disturb you. After a hard day of diving and snorkelling, the tourists will normally head down to one of the pubs for leisure.

No matter what, Phi Phi island is only not to be missed.

    Villages and Beaches: Patong Beach
  • Tip Rating:
  • This is the view of Patong beach. It's not the most cleanest or most beautiful of all beaches but has been polluted by the throngs of foreign and local tourists who frequented the site.

Patong beach is also the home for most sea sports activities such as wakeboarding, para-sailing, jet skiing, kite flying, etc......

  • There are still places on Phuket island where some of the forest is left.

Looking at it is like looking at a green wall.

I would not advice to go in there, though.
As far as I know neither do the Thais. The reason is, that there are a lot of snakes on the island -and especially in the underbush - that are poisonous.

    PHUKET TOWN
  • Tip Rating:
  • While most of the areas in Phuket are famous for it s nightlife, beaches and shopping Phuket town is a small historical treasure with many old Sino-Portuguese houses(more than 100 year old located in Thalang Ranong Damrong and Yaowarat streets) many temples (Chinese and Buddhist) night markets and very nice small streets

    Ao Chalong Yacht Club
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Ao Chalong Yacht Club is situated right on the beach at Chalong, overlooking the yachts in the bay. It is low key, but friendly with good food at reasonable prices. There is a pool table as well.

If you're at Chalong Bay, why not take a walk and visit the Ao Chalong Yacht Club or Jimmy's Lighthouse which is almost next door?

If you'd like to get out on a yacht for the day, this would be a good place to put your name down. The Phuket Sailing Club operates from here and holds races most weekends.
