    A trip out to Phang Nga Bay is highly recommended if you find yourself in Phuket. Local tours can be booked from the airport and the coach usually picks you up in the morning from where you are staying. Unfortunately it's been awhile and I don't remember too many details of the trip but the photos below should say something :)

    James Bond Island was located in a Phang Nga national park. The ferry had to stop and inform the rangers as to how many people were on the boat. There are no over night stays in Phang Nga. The rangers are there to enforce that rule as well make sure that the parks are looked after.

    The other main attraction to James Bond Island is this rock formation. In the movie a laser cannon was shown appearing from the top of it. You could almost walk out to it, the water was that shallow. Still, a very peculiar shape for a rock.

    While sea kayaking our guide took us to see Sharks mouth. If you look closely you will see that the rock formation on the left hand side of the picture looks like a shark’s mouth. Up until that point I had not worried about sharks at all. Makes you start to think.
