    The cost was about $35 each for this trip to James bond Island and several others including lunch. We were told there would be 15 or so other people on the boat with us, there were 80. Still a fun day.

    The finale of the trip was a visit to the island where some scnes from the James Bond file The Man with the Golden Gun were set. This distinctive rock featured heavily in the shots of the island.

    The island became famous when a James Bond film was shot here in the 70s. Take a boat ride through mangrove areas and limestone caves to reach this place. Beaches in Phuket are beautiful (like the one in Patong). A good view of streches of beaches can be seen from Point View. Catch an entertaining show in Simon Cabaret at night.

    The number one speedboat trip in Phuket is by far a man called terry, he either privately charters out he's boat so that you and your family have the boat to yourselves or he sells individual tickets, he is slightly more than the normal run of the mill trips, but offers so much more, this was truely a day we will never forget and possibly the best organized trip in phuket. The trip was so relaxing and terry took us to some of the most spectacular sights in Phang Nga Bay, unable even to see on a normal boat trip. lunch was served on a private Island we had to ourselves and we visited the pearl farm and shop on one of the Islands.     The original name of the island is Khao Tapu but it is more known as a James Bond island to attract tourists. The first film of the James Bond odessey was made there.
