    Everybody does at least one beach sunset in Phuket. Kata Beach has one of the best. You can either grab a beer, sit back and take it all in or go for a stroll - either way it's magic stuff. I liked the sunset in Kata because of Koh Pu, a little island off the coast. It adds a neat contrast to all the colours and hues in the sky. Otherwise, the beach is a bit quieter in Kata than Patong so it's a good spot to go to if you want to escape the noise.

    It was our beach, with the hotel well located by the sea, and… we met the monsoon. Impossible to swim. The 1st day an helicopter flying around announced us the death of a tourist in the neighbor Kata beach. We didn’t take risks, and only Tito and me entered the water, in a shallow area, but with full precautions, because even there, we felt the very strong currents. The beach was neglected (low season) but %L[http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/9eab8/16200d/ ]Patong beach was safe and near. Anyway everybody enjoyed our stay, the tranquility of the place, and the ease to explore the several good attractions in the island. But I would like to come back with a different sea.

    White sandy beach, clear water, and beautiful sunset. However, too big wave, sutible for surfing but not swimming.

    Isn't life beautiful if you see this? The picture was taken at the viewpoint in Kata Beach. We were almost the alone at this time, so it was a very romantic moment ;-))

Kata Beach is a thriving resort, suitable for holiday makers who look for tranquil surroundings with a bright sun, white sand, a calm clear sea and a colorful underwater world. Kata is located only 6 km from the Chalong intersection. The way leading to the beach can overlook the elegant scene of Chalong Bay on the southern coast of the island. Except those who like to stay in a busy area. Kata beach has never disappointed any visitors.
