    Fabulous sceneries, wich you can also see from a nice restaurant. You can also do shopping at promteph cape. There is also a lighthouse you are able can visit. It will bring you good luck if you leave an elephant there..

    I was told that I could watch the most beautiful sunset in Asia from the top of the hill at Promthep Cape. Unfortunately, I didn't stick around until sunset but even during the day, it has a magnificient view of the southern tip of Phuket. There is a lighthouse at the top of the hill and a place where people pray. Oh yes, some vendors sell fantastic roasted coconut drinks there and they're great especially on a hot & humid day

    Many tourist as well as locals come by to this cape to view the sunset.However i didnt get the chance viewing due to cloudy weather.

  • Promthep Cape is the most famous place where people go to see the sunset. Wonderful, but a bit too crowded expecially in week-ends when also thais go there. However the whole road from Promthep to Nai Harn is a splendid place to view the sunset, and with various points where you can stop and see the sun disappearing.

    Promthep Cape, i'm sure this place needs no introduction. It is supposedly the best place for viewing sunsets in the whole of Phuket and should be jammed up with tourist buses and cars come evening. This was the sixth stop of our round island trip. The view in the hot afternoon sun was spectacular as it was, and i'm sure it would have been quite romantic if we had been there in the evening instead just that, my travelling group consisted of all guys! Besides the view, there is a platform with a four-faced Buddha surrounded by loads of elephants, of all sizes and made mostly of wood. And being located at the southern end of Phuket, there is also a lighthouse-cum-museum to guide ships along the correct path, and humans on the evolution of Thai lighthouses.
