    This is the southermost of the Phuket Island. A famous tourist spot. You may have a good view of Andaman Sea.

    This is the southern-most point of the Phuket Island and is more popularly known as Sunset point. The view of the sea from the cape is lovely. It is very windy out here. During the evening hours, there is a heavy rush to view the sunset and it is very difficult to find a place to stand. Since this was monsoon time and there were clouds everywhere, we dropped the idea of waiting for the sunset. There is also a Buddhist temple here

    Try to get yourself there during sunset. The view is magnificient. It get pretty cooling at that time so you can just sit by the cafe and have a drink or so. I did exactly that...

    We hired a open 4x4 jeep one day and just went for a drive, you never know what you may find around the island, we drove towards to the Gape and found this guy with some egal and he let them set on our shouldrs for a small fee of course, it was a bit of fun and he told us about the egales that live on the island.

    While on our way to Promthep Cape from Patong Beach, we came along this beautiful viewpoint from where three prominent baches of Phuket was visible at a distance. The beaches were Karon, Kata Noi and Kata Beach. This view point is right on the road and there are couple of shops around here selling foodstuff and cold drinks. There is a raised platform, where one can go and sit for a while, with a beautiful view in fro\nt. It is quite windy here.

  • Directions: Watch out on the right hand side while going to Prom Thep Cape. There is a well marked spot. Wouldnt face any difficulty in locating it.
