This is a must go if you are in the Karon Beach area. We went 3 times....it's that good. There were many favorites. How about Red Duck Curry and then there is crab fried rice. We were having steamed until we tried this . Yumm! We had shrimp appitizers , Red Duck Curry, crab rice, botteled water , 3 beer and it was only 580bht

Rapala Beach: Banana Pancakes to die for!

We stayed at Rapala beach, in a place run by a family.They had their house there, and a few small huts, or one room shacks, mostly clean.And for their restaurant, it was a shelter situated, just yards from the beach.You could use this at any time, they had a TV set up here for those who liked to watch.The food was fantastic, but I thought everything I ate in Thailand was fantastic, I don't recall eating something that didn't make me hungrier with every mouthful.It was near the end of my week here, that I tried their banana pancakes for breakfast.I was in heaven! And I'm not really a big fan of pancakes anymore, but these were exceptional.I think it was the local honey they use for the topping, delicious!One morning when I got up, I was so hungry that I kept ordering more helpings. I think I ordered 3 helpings.I overheard the cooks when they got ANOTHER order of banana pancakes from me...

Thai Herbs: Khao Sok; Thai Herbs. Just Mmmmmm!

You can find this Restaurant at the main road that goes into the Khao Sok Ntl Park. Right before the bridge over the River Sok on the right side.The setting is a green garden with many plants and flowers. If you seat out the back you also have a wonderful view of the classical mountains.The food was excellent, the Menu offered such amazing things as Fern-Soup and Herb Tempura, the plants freshly from the garden.They also have more classical dishes like Chicken Soup with Coconut Milk etc. Everything we tried was good. So good actually, that we went a second time,Don´t forget to order a special fruit juice with your meal!

Sreet Vendors: Food Stalls

You can pretty much eat at most the vendors without to much worry. Most are busy which should give you fresh food.In Krabi down by the pier several families have booths set up at night fall. They all have their own speciality, so try a little of everything. At the night market you get a real flavour of southern Thailand and the food can be very hot. You can find a lot of different foods so to name one is hard. But the fresh mussels and seafood are great.

veggies....?: Our favourite place

This restaurant was right in town, we ate here most nights.. I think it was called veggies, or maybe we just called it that because it had a huge vegetarian choice..Right in town not far from the V Shop and opposite Harmony Tours... the food is delicious and never really that expensive and the staff were really friendly.. too many to choose from......

SIMPLE LIFE: CHEAP AND DELICIOUS

Situated on the south west of Ko Tao (far away from noisy Lamai and Chaweng beach)you can have the most delicious breakfast or, like me, the most romantic dinner right on the beach. Extremely friendly, they even give you board games while you wait for your food.I will never forget it. Grilled fish.

Vitaporn: Try the seafood

Great food and wonderful ambiance. It's popular....lots of people. My favorite was the coconut shrimp . They come in a huge coconut...also the ginger chicken is a winner.
