Sadao Things to Do

Thailand is flooded with massage parlours each offering almost the same price packages. Found one here is Sadao which offers 300BHT for a 2 hours massage. A bit pricey in my own opinion as the ones in Hat Yai are only charging 240BHT for the same 2 hours. Nevertheless, it really is a good 2 hours of relaxing session.

A pub for you to relax, sit down enjoying the food as well as soft music. The owner as well as the staff are very friendly - really 'made yourself at home' atmosphere.

Sadao Restaurants

Situated 7km from danok, sadao is a restaurant surrounding a small lake. Water View is where you get great local food at affordable prices plus you get to enjoy the calm view of the lake. Food is brought to your table by a motorboat from the kitchen across the lake. Very warm hospitality from the waiters and waitresses there

Favorite Dish: Tom Yam of course. Not to mention steamed local barramundi served in tangy, spicy soup

Morning street vendors here have limited but still something to offer. Get a great cup of morning coffee at only BHT20 per cup.

Weird but tasty. Some sort like a fear-factor challenge, take it or leave it. Since no harm for trying, why not? People only regret for thing they didn't do, not thing they did.

Favorite Dish: Bug and insects.......creepy but crunchy!

I can vouch to it that all night scenes in Dannok play techno music and nothing else. Almost all the night scenes that I pass by plays loud head banging music. Not really my type of place but I have no where else to go.

    Dress Code: anything goes

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you are travelling from Malaysia pass Sadao border, take a short walk to Danok (only about 5 metres walk) and look for 7-11 convenient shop. Right in front of 7-11, there is a small table set up. Walk to the person at the table and say you want to get to Haytai. For only 50 BHT, they will take you to your hotel in Haytai. They will take you in their air-conditioned mini-van. Taking a taxi will cost you about 400 BHT. This is the cheapest method i know to travel from Danok to Haytai.

I found that there is a crack in our hotel room door. Looks as if someone has kicked the door open. Check your room doors, better be safe than sorry.
